In a crucial encounter for Plate qualification, Alea Iacta Est emerged victorious with a 3-1 win over Iguana Time. The match was essentially a shoot-out for a spot in the Plate competition. Iguana Time needing at least a draw to advance, while Alea Iacta Est required a win to secure their place.

The first half saw Alea Iacta Est take the lead with a goal from Pedro Silvera, giving them a 1-0 advantage at the break. The match remained on a knife-edge as the second half unfolded, with Alea Iacta Est needing to consolidate their position.

Pedro Silvera struck again in the second half, doubling Alea Iacta Est's lead with his second goal of the game and fourth of the tournament. Michal Dlugopolski then added a third goal for Alea Iacta Est, further cementing their dominance and making it 3-0. Despite their hopes fading, Iguana Time managed to pull one back with a goal from Pedro Valadas, but it proved to be a mere consolation. The match ended 3-1 in favor of Alea Iacta Est, who celebrated their qualification for the Plate (a competition they won here in 2021).

Iguana Time's campaign had sadly came to an end as they missed out by just 2 points.

Up next was Just Here 40 Krak versus Cruz Del Sur. It was bottom of the table versus top of the table. Cruz Del Sur were clear favourites based on the table. However, Just Here 40 Krak were already eliminated so would this free them up? Cruz Del Sur were virtually through so would they take their foot off the gas? Last time Just Here 40 Krak played a team at the top of the table they did pretty well holding their opponents to 0-0 at the break before losing out in the second half.

Tom Lawro struck first here for Cruz Del Sur as normal service seemed to be resumed but there was a little sting in the first half tale. Patrick Elsworth struck for Just Here 40 Krak to spark wild celebrations and probably the biggest cheer of the day so far. It was ironic that Just Here 40 Krak's first goal of the day was the first goal of the day to be scored by an opposition player (in 5 games) against Cruz Del Sur. 1-1 it was at half-time and Just Here 40 Kraw were level at HT against league leaders for the second time today.

In the second half Cruz Del Sur regained their lead with a David Jamieson goal. Sam Cassidy kept up his record of scoring in every game as he took his personal tally to 9 goals for the day. Tom Lawro added his second of the game to make it 4-1 which was how we ended. Cruz Del Sur's victory ensured they would be Group B champions and go into the Cup as the #1 ranked team from the group phase. A huge morning's work from them.

So, the last game on the field in Group B would be Barrymoore's Swimming Club versus Sporting Armada. This was a straight shoot-out for Cup qualification and was essentially a Cup Quarter-Final. The two teams were locked on 9 points in the standing but Barrymoore's Swimming Club had a goal difference advantage so they only needed a draw. Nothing but a win would be good enough for Sporting Armada.

Sporting Armada took the lead through Ethan McCreight, who scored his fourth goal of the tournament to give his side a 1-0 advantage at halftime. The second half kicked off with everything still very much in the balance but saw Sporting Armada extend their lead with another goal from McCreight, who continued his impressive form. With the game seemingly heading towards a 2-0 victory for Sporting Armada, the final minute brought a dramatic turn.

Charlie Thompson scored for Barrymoore's Swimming Club, reducing the deficit to 2-1 and setting up a tense finish as Barrymoore's searched for the crucial equalizer (which is all they needed). However, Sporting Armada's Will Ashenden dashed Barrymoore's hopes with a decisive strike in the dying moments of the game, making it 3-1. It proved to be the last kick of the match.

The result ensured Sporting Armada advanced to the Cup, while Barrymoore's Swimming Club were left to ponder what might have been. Sporting Armada's victory was a testament to their resilience and attacking prowess as they prepared for the knockout stages.
