In the final round of Group A all games played concurrently so teams would have to assess their needs at kick-off and hope it would be enough when the other results came in. Solly March FC kicked off in third place. They needed to win and hope Big Time Krakow lost their game to reach the Plate. Third Degree Burnley knew this would be their last game as they were 4 points off qualification with only 3 on offer.

Solly March FC came into the game on the back of their biggest win to date and continued their form here. They delivered a commanding performance to secure a 4-0 victory over Third Degree Burnley. From the outset, Solly March FC showed their intent, building on their impressive form from the previous game. The opening goal came from Ian Rosie, who continued his strong tournament showing. Scott Jessop added to the tally with a well-timed strike, and Christopher John contributed to the goal fest, further extending Solly March FC's lead.

Rosie was not done yet; he added a second goal, capping off an excellent performance and sealing a 4-0 win. Solly March FC maintained their defensive solidity throughout the match, ensuring a clean sheet and demonstrating their readiness for a potential Cup appearance. Their dominant display in this final match showcased their quality and determination, leaving them hopeful as they awaited the results of their rivals.

Next up was World Pinteur versus RSC Andylecht. World Pinteur had started the day unbeaten in their first three games but a 3-0 defeat last time out had put Cup qualification in doubt. They had slipped to fourth place in the table on goal difference but a place in the Cup was still possible. They needed to win and hope Big Time Krakow lost. They also needed to over-turn goal difference if Solly March FC were to win their final game – which they did. World Pinteur were not to know this though.

From an RSC Andylecht perspective, they were currently outside of the Plate qualification places by a point. A win over their opponents would ensure they qualified for the knockout phase. A draw would be OK but only if Solly March FC were to lose their final game.

In a dramatic finale to Group A, World Pinteur and RSC Andylecht played out a tense 1-1 draw, with the decisive moment coming in the dying seconds of the match. The draw was crucial for World Pinteur, who needed a late equalizer to secure their place in the Plate, while RSC Andylecht faced elimination with any slip-up.

The first half ended goalless, with both teams battling for control but failing to find the back of the net. RSC Andylecht emerged as the more assertive side after the break, and their pressure paid off when Simon Hickman broke the deadlock with a well-placed strike, giving them a 1-0 lead. As the match neared its conclusion, World Pinteur pressed forward with urgency. Their persistence paid off in the final minute when Pierre Lachaud scored a crucial equalizer, leveling the score at 1-1.

The late goal proved decisive, as RSC Andylecht's hopes of advancing were dashed, and they were eliminated from the tournament. World Pinteur, though not securing a win, managed to scrape through to the next stage, their late equalizer ensuring their continued participation in the Krakow Trophy.

To wrap up Group A, in a highly anticipated clash between Big Time Krakow and Ball Bashers. These were the only two teams in the tournament draw with a eurofootballfives.com title to their name (excluding Veterans titles). They were the top two in the Group A table at kick-off. Ball Bashers needed a draw or better to claim the Group A win. Big Time Krakow could join Ball Bashers at the top with a win but would likely finish 2 nd on goal difference unless they could win by 4 clear goals.

There was pressure on Big Time Krakow as they needed to win to reach the Cup competition. If they lost, then a World Pinteur of Solly March FC win would see them drop into the Plate (to defend the Plate they won last year). A draw would probably not be enough if either World Pinteur or Solly March FC won due to goal difference. A win would not be easy though as Ball Bashers had only lost 1 of 11 games in eurofootballfives.com competition to date.

The first half ended in a stalemate, with neither team able to break through their opponent's defence despite several promising attacks. As the match progressed into the second half, Big Time Krakow intensified their efforts to find the decisive goal. Their persistence paid off when Reda Hocine found the back of the net with a well-placed shot, giving Big Time Krakow a 1-0 lead. The goal proved to be the match-winner as neither side could add to their tally as the Polish emerged with the upper hand in this tightly contested match.

With this crucial win, Big Time Krakow secured their place in the Cup stage, joining Ball Bashers in the next round. Both teams had shown their quality throughout the group stage, and their progression to the Cup reflected their strong performances. Congratulations to Ball Bashers on the Group A victory.
