We began Round 2 with Sporting Armada versus Iguana Time.

Sporting Armada's personal best at our events came at the 2022 Amsterdam Fives. They began well with two wins (2-0 v Real Sosobad, 3-2 v Columbia's Finest FC) before a 3-2 defeat to the eventual champions, FC Kicks. They were back to winning ways with 3-0 wins over Red Cow Belgrade and NiB Catennacio. They qualified for the Cup in 2nd place before demolishing Amsterdam Barbarians 9-2 in the Semi-Finals. They set-up a rematch with FC Kicks who won the title, 6-2. The Atletico Armada team also did well with 4 wins out of 4 at the start of Group B before a last match defeat to Amsterdam Barbarians which meant they finished in 2nd and also qualified for the Cup. They met FC Kicks and went out with a 4-3 defeat.

Sporting Armada continued their strong start in Krakow with a narrow 1-0 win over Iguana Time. Building on their opening victory, Sporting Armada remained organized and difficult to break down, keeping another clean sheet thanks to a solid performance from goalkeeper Paul Oliver and the defensive line in front of him. The only goal of the game came from Ethan McCreight, who netted his second goal in as many matches. His strike proved decisive as Iguana Time struggled to find a way past the Armada defence.

Iguana Time, coming off a 1-1 draw in their first game, put up a fight but could not carve out clear chances to test Oliver. Sporting Armada were yet to concede in the tournament and with McCreight's goals up top they looked a force in Group B. They were top of the group with maximum points after two games.

Group B began with Barrymoore's Swimming Club versus Cruz Del Sur. For Barrymoore's this was becoming a Lisbon 2017 reunion tour as they defeated Just Here 40 Krak (Retainer's Academy) in Round 1 and were now up against Cruz Del Sur who they also met in Lisbon. They had mixed results against Cruz Del Sur as they beat their B team 4-0 on their way to winning Group A. They then met Cruz Del Sur A in the Cup Quarter-Finals. Cruz Del Sur A became the first team to finish 4th in a group to beat a group winner at the Cup QF stage. Cruz Del Sur A won it 1-0.

Barrymoore's Swimming Club had made their customary strong start in our events with a win in Round 1. Cruz Del Sur will feel they should have had a win too but they'd had to settle for a point against Iguana Time. Cruz Del Sur did claim a crucial 2-0 victory in this match though with Sam Cassidy proving to be the difference. Cassidy, who had already opened his tournament tally in the previous game, added two more to his name, taking his total to three goals in the competition.

The first half saw Cruz Del Sur take a narrow 1-0 lead through Cassidy, who finished clinically to put his side in control. Barrymoore's Swimming Club struggled to break through a well-organized Cruz Del Sur defence, unable to create the necessary opportunities to respond.

Cassidy struck again after the break, doubling the advantage and securing all three points for Cruz Del Sur. With this win, Cruz Del Sur leapfrogged Barrymoore's Swimming Club into second place in the group standings.

In Round 1 we previewed Alea Iacta Est as champions here in the 2022 Krakow Veterans Tournament. They'd also enjoyed a number of near misses in terms of titles. They'd had a Cup Quarter-Final and Cup Semi-Final at the 2018 and 2019 Gdansk Tournament's respectively. They also finished runners-up at the 2020 Warsaw Tournament. They were Plate winners at the 2021 Krakow Trophy. Their opponents in Round 2 would be Just Here 40 Krak. Both teams had lost their opening fixtures and were looking to bounce back quickly in Round 2.

Alea Iacta Est secured their first victory of the day with a solid 2-0 win thanks to a standout performance from Pedro Silveira. The Portuguese forward netted both goals, showcasing his clinical finishing to give his team a much-needed boost in Group B.

The first half saw Alea Iacta Est take control, with Silveira breaking the deadlock to put his team 1-0 up. Just Here 40 Krak struggled to get into their rhythm, and Alea Iacta Est's defence held firm to protect their lead heading into halftime.

In the second half, Silveira struck again to double the advantage, sealing the victory for his side. Alea Iacta Est's first win of the tournament provided them with vital momentum, while Just Here 40 Krak were left searching for their first points as the group stage progressed.
