The
opening game of Group D saw JNJ Global Services
play their first eurofootballfives.com tournament
outside of their Prague homeland. After a disappointing
2009 Prague Masters they improved significantly
for the 2009 Prague Trophy and were looking to
build upon this once more on their Krakow travels.
Standing in their way was FC Vicars Dish of England.
The game was a triumph for defence over attack
with neither team managing to find their opponent's
net and honours were shared in a 0-0 draw.
Goals
were on show though as Hutnik of Poland played
host to RS Ocean Village FC. The game was to be
every bit as close though and at half-time the
teams were locked at 1-1. A goal and a victory
for either team in the second half would carry
great reward given the deadlock in the earlier
group game. That goal would come and sadly for
Ocean Village but joyously for Hutnik it was the
latter who claimed the decisive third goal and
claimed three points to take the early group D
advantage. Kamil Klek scored the crucial winner.
JNJ
Global Services would be the next opponents for
Hutnik. Kamil Klek continued his opening game
form with a goal in the opening half of this fixture.
It was a goal that JNJ Global Services were unable
to recover from and though they tried to get back
on level terms it was Hutnik and Klek yet again
who made it 2-0 to the Polish team. That's how
the match finished and Hutnik were top of the
pile on 6 points. JNJ Global Services had one
more game to turn their group D fortunes around.
