Group
B kicked off with eurofootballfives.com debutants
Intermore FC entertaining El Studs Bilbao. El
Studs Bilbao were highly fancied after their Cup
Semi-Final achievements in the 2009 Prague Trophy
last October. Back then, they had won 4 and drawn
1 of their 5 group games. This unbeaten record
was to prevail when they took on Intermore FC
but it was a notch in the draw column they achieved
rather than the win column that they wanted. Intermore
FC, proudly representing Ireland , went toe-to-toe
with their younger opponents and there was nothing
to separate them as the game finished 0-0. A solid
point for each team to build a platform in their
group B campaign.
The
second game in group B saw Polish team PKG Real
Estate take on Tree-Top Tune FC and by half-time
we were still looking for the opening goal of
the group. The second half was to provide us with
goals and plenty of them. There were four in fact
and all of them to PKG Real Estate as they eased
into a comfortable looking 4-0 victory.
PKG
Real Estate would take this second half straight
into the next game when they met Intermore FC.
Intermore FC were proving a tough side to play
against and as in their first game they went into
the break level at 0-0. PKG Real Estate were proving
to be a second half team and just as they did
in their first game they opened the scoring in
the second half. Intermore FC did not let the
floodgates open though and the game finished with
just that one goal.
PKG
Real Estate were sitting pretty on top with a
maximum 6 points. Intermore FC were joint second
and would look forward to their final game with
a great chance of making the Cup.
