The final team to get underway in Group B and, in fact, the tournament as a whole was EDC2. They had waited patiently for their chance to get involved in the action and were now due to take the field against Leeds One United.

If you read the Group A section of this report you will have seen that EDC made their debut at the 2017 JNJ Euro Soccer Tournament in Bratislava. In Slovakia these two teams met and Leeds One United were convincing winners, 7-1.

It looked like history may repeat itself as Leeds One United raced into a 4-0 lead. Joshua Lynn scored for the second consecutive game before Liam Robinson, Omar Trawally and Tom Budden all scored.

The goal scoring calmed down after the break but Leeds One United extended their lead to 5-0 with a Niall Delaney goal. There was a second Gareth Jones clean sheet of the day as Leeds One United went top.

We continued Round 2 with Maidenhead versus JNJ Turkey. These were the top teams from Group B in the Bratislava edition of the tournament last year. 12 months ago, JNJ Turkey were 4 wins out of 4 whilst Maidenhead were 3 wins out of 4. When the two teams met head-to-head we were treated to a 10-goal thriller. JNJ Turkey won it 7-3.

This wasn't quite the goal-fest here in Hungary but we did have a goal in the opening period. That goal went to Edip Efe who scored twice in Round 1 and took his tally to 3 goals for the day. It was JNJ Turkey who lead 1-0 at half-time.

There was no addition to the score in the second half as JNJ Turkey completed their second win over Maidenhead in as many years. The result saw JNJ Turkey join Leeds One United at the top of Group B.

The game that would complete Round 2 was DePuy Blackpool against JNJ Poland.

Last year JNJ Poland made their strongest performance (out of 4) at the JNJ Euro Soccer Tournament in Bratislava. They won Group A with 3 wins and 1 draw from their 4 games. The Cup Quarter-Finals saw them defeat JNJ Russia, 1-0, to set up an epic Cup Semi-Final against JNJ Turkey. It was a superb game but JNJ missed out on a first final 5-4.

The Polish team started off today's tournament with a win. A second would see them share the lead of Group B with Leeds One United and JNJ Turkey. It started off particularly well with Dawid Paszek giving his team a 1-0 half-time lead.

After the break Dawid Paszek scored again – at the wrong end. It was an own goal and equaliser for DePuy Blackpool. The English team lost their opener but were en route to victory here thanks to a Wayne Turner goal. It was a fine win and a fine comeback.
