Group B began with JNJ Turkey (Tur) taking on Actelion FC (Swi).

JNJ Turkey's most recent performance in the tournament was very impressive. In the group phase they won all four of their games to collect a maximum 12 points. They won their Cup Quarter-Final 7-0 (vs Leeds One United) and their Semi-Final 5-4 (vs JNJ Poland). They met Cilag Team 1 in a high quality final but finished runners-up to the Swiss (2-1).

Actelion FC therefore faced a really tough opening game on what was their debut in the JNJ Euro Soccer Tournament.

It was JNJ Turkey who hit the front as Edip Efe scored his team's first goal of the day. He did not have to wait long for his second as he doubled the lead before half time. At 2-0 JNJ Turkey were on their way to victory. They managed to see the game out and claim all three points.

Next up was The War of the Roses as Yorkshire took on Lancashire…..in Budapest. It was Leeds One United versus DePuy Blackpool. The latter were on debut in our tournaments but the former were experienced in the event.

Leeds One United made their debut at the 2014 edition of the competition. In 2014, they competed as S & OP FC and their games provided us with more goals than any other team competing – 38 goals in 6 fixtures. It started with a 9 goal thriller they narrowly lost 5-4 to JNJ Zug before a debut win 2-0 over Gerri Hatricks FC. They went down 4-1 to JNJ Russia B before a great 3-2 win over J&J Poland. They then lost to the champions in waiting JNJ High Wycombe A. They had qualified for the Plate Semi-Finals where the champions from Budapest 2013, JNJ Russia A, accounted for them.

They took two teams to mount their 2015 challenge in Prague playing as Leeds One and Leeds Two. The teams finished 4th and 6th in their respective groups to qualify for the Plate and the Wooden Spoon. Leeds One went out in a 6-5 thriller to Cilag Team 2 (Swi) whereas Leeds Two lost out in the Wooden Spoon play-off to GBS Reds (Cze).

At the Krakow 2016 event they competed as The Rodallega Bombs. A good morning group session saw them claim 3 wins and 1 draw from their 6 games as they finished 4th of 7 teams in Group A. They qualified for the Cup Quarter-Finals but met the winners of Group B as they went out 4-0.

The 2017 Bratislava edition saw them draw the eventual winners Cilag Team 1 in a difficult group. They won 2 and lost 2 to finish in third position which saw them qualify for the Cup again. It was Cup Quarter-Final elimination again though as they lost to JNJ Turkey.

They started off with a win here. Joshua Lynn with the only goal of the game. 1-0 to Yorkshire.

Game 3 of Group B saw JNJ Poland against Maidenhead. This was the third time that these two teams had met with both previous encounters occurring at the 2016 edition of the tournament in Krakow.

In the group phase in Krakow, JNJ Poland beat Maidenhead A 4-1. Maidenhead 1 then got their revenge over the men from Warsaw when they met in the Cup Quarter-Finals. The game ended 2-2 in normal time but Maidenhead 1 went through 3-2 courtesy of a Golden Goal.

Part 3 of the trilogy in Budapest saw JNJ Poland establish a 2-0 lead by half-time. Slawomir Ziemak was the man to score his team's first goal of the day. Piotr Ganko followed up with a second.

After the break Maidenhead reduced the deficit to 2-1 with a Richard Parkinson goal. Time was against the English team though and JNJ Poland secured all 3 points.
