It has been a long time since we had a Group in eurofootballfives.com competition consist entirely of debutants but this is what we had in Group B. It was great to welcome so many new faces to our tour. With all the teams on debut we are unable to give you any predictions/preview so let's just sit back, relax and see what transpired.

The first two teams who took to the field got us off to a superb start as Luso Team met Multiple Scoregasms. Luso Team were hoping to become the third French team to win a eurofootballfives.com tournament and their campaign got off to a superb start when David Teixeira put them ahead in the opening period. It was a lead they were to hold until half-time.

After the break Multiple Scoregasms levelled things up at 1-1 thanks to Nick Robinson. The game remained at 1-1 for some time and just as it looked like we were heading towards a draw up stepped Mike Classen with a last minute winner. There was no time for Luso Team to respond and Multiple Scoregasms had taken to European football like a dream claiming a 2-1 win.

Match 2 saw All of Ronan's Men face Doddsy Stag A in what could be dubbed “The Battle of The Stags”.

Following the late withdrawal of GFC Transylvania (Ger) on the eve of the tournament Group B was hastily restructured and to compensate for the teams playing one less fixture we extended the length of the games so the teams would still get as much as football playing time. This meant we were always likely to get more goals per game and this game had goals galore.

In fact we had 11 goals to savour and if you were party of the Doddsy Stag party you would be celebrating as they enjoyed the lion's share of the goals. There were hat-tricks for David Eldridge and Craig Panton plus a double for Calum Britton. Fittingly, there was also a goal for the stag himself – Matthew Dodds.

Not to be outdone All of Ronan's Mens stag also found the goalscoring touch as Ronan Silke found the net. His goal and Sean Nevin's strike were, alas for them, consoldation goals in a 9-2 defeat.

With 11 goals in the previous fixture, Game 3 in Group B had a lot to live up to – surely we couldn't have a repeat? We could.

After time for a little breather, All of Ronan's Men took to the field again to try and avenge their opening game defeat. They would face Luso Team who were also in the same position of trying to put opening game defeat behind them and register their first points of the tournament.

The first half was relatively sedate compared to the previous game's goal-fest with Luso Team opening up a 2-0 lead. After the break though it was like the goalkeepers had joined the picket line as the attacking talent on show showed a ruthless streak. For Luso Team there were hat-tricks for David Teixeira and Antonio Teixeira. Guillaume Da Silva (2) and Yves Goncalves also opened their account.

For All of Ronan's Men, Bryan Connell bagged his first of the day and there was a goal credited to Dave Finnerty. It was déjà vu for All of Ronan's Men as they slipped to a second 9-2 defeat.
