We were now getting to the business end of the tournament and into the Trophy Semi-Finals. The one thing that was guaranteed was that we would have a Spain versus Ireland Trophy Final. The first Semi-Final was an all-Spanish affair and the second was an all-Irish affair.

Let's start with the all-Spanish affair as Rapid Bosco Navas met Drunk Perfect. Rapid Bosco Navas were just beginning to find form having won two games in a row but so were their opponents. Drunk Perfect had also won two in a row and were scoring goals for fun – 13 in 2 games.

The goal-fest would continue in this game as Drunk Perfect lead 3-1 at the break. They just could not stop scoring at the moment and both teams added to their tally in the second half. The game finished 4-2 and it was Drunk Perfect into the Trophy Final.

Dimitri Hubert scored twice for Drunk Perfect to take his tally for the day to 5 goals. Anders Ragnar scored his 7th in 3 games and their was a third goal of the tournament for Damien Legal.

Luis Beato scored Rapid Bosco Navas's goals but alas for them in a losing cause. We thank Rapid Bosco Navas for continuing to support our tournaments year after year and hope to see them in action again next year. A special mention to goalkeeper David Garcia Gallego who made the trip from Colombia to the tournament.

It was now the turn of Deportivo Dooradoyle and Team Also Ran who met in the second Semi-Final. Deportivo Dooradoyle were in their second Semi-Final having defeated CEPL of Holland 3-1 in the 2011 Amsterdam Fives (a sensational win actually as CEPL won the Cup title in 2012). Team Also Ran were in their first Semi-Final at our tournaments.

Whereas goals flowed in the first Semi-Final this game was a much tighter affair. Goals were conspicuous by their absence with the defences on top. We reached half-time without a goal, 0-0. After the break the game continued to be tight but we did see a goal – just the one. It was Sean O Donnell who scored the goal that sent his team into the Trophy Final.

Deportivo Dooradoyle had done it and they were into Final. Team Also Ran were out – it was their third tournament in as many years and we hope they can join us for tournament #4 in 2014.
