With the Trophy Play-Off finished we now knew the full Quarter-Final draw for our third tier competition. ADP Dream Team had picked up their first win of the day to make this stage and their “reward” was a game against Rapid Bosco Navas.

Rapid Bosco Navas would certainly be favourites as they were Cup winners here in 2008 and had never failed to qualify for the Cup until today. They were the highest ranked of all the Trophy qualifiers. Therefore, a game against the lowest ranked team in the group phase looked a formality.

It certainly wasn't. The win for ADP Dream Team had awoken them and they were playing much better. The improved performance could not prevent them slipping behind in the first half to Juan Martinez's third goal of the day.

ADP Dream Team battled hard but could not find the equalizer. Rapid Bosco Navas were unable to find a second though and so the game was delicately poised at 1-0 right until the very end. Rapid Bosco Navas won 1-0 and it was time to bid a fond farewell to ADP Dream Team.

Pitch B played host to the 2nd Trophy Quarter-Final between Drunk Perfect and ADP Royals. Drunk Perfect came into the game on the back of a 7-2 win so would be high on confidence against an ADP Royals team who had yet to pick up a point but had played well – especially in the early stages.

Drunk Perfect continued their form from the last game and the goals were flowing. Anders Ragnar in particular was having fun as he opened the scoring and then made it 2-0. Damien Digonnet then made it 3-0 and it was only half-time.

Dimitri Hubert joined the goalscoring party after the break to make it 4-0 and then 5-0. Anders Ragnar scored a hat-trick in the last game and he was to do so again as he made it 6-0. Six goals in two games for him put him in contention for the top goalscorer prize.

The final score was 6-0 and Drunk Perfect advanced to the Semi-Finals. For ADP Royals it was over for the day. We hope they enjoyed their day and to see them in action again in the future.

Trophy Quarter-Final 3 would see Deportivo Dooradoyle meet Burritos FC with Mustard. Deportivo Dooradoyle were no strangers to Quarter-Finals in our tournaments with mixed results. In the 2011 Amsterdam Fives they defeated Welsh team Goals Aloud 3-2. In the 2012 Algarve Open they succumbed 2-0 to French team CFC B. They'd be hoping for more of the Amsterdam form here.

Burritos FC with Mustard had competed well in their first three games without reward but had suffered a heavy defeat in their last game. Could they put this result behind them and start afresh in the knockout phase.

Neil Timothy opened the scoring for Deportivo Dooradoyle in the first half. In the second half Ger O'Loughlin scored his fourth of the day to make it 2-0 and Burritos FC with Mustard were really up against it. The match was sealed when Neil Timothy made it 3-0 with his second of the game.

The day was over for Burritos FC with Mustard – on the field at least. Thank you for making the trip to Barcelona – it was a pleasure to host you.

Who would meet Deportivo Dooradoyle in the Plate Semi-Finals? Team Also Ran and ADP Netherlands 2 would do battle for the honour. In theory this should be the closest Quarter-Final of all as it was the 5th best 4th place team versus the best 5th place team.

What we got was a classic but it certainly didn't look like it would be close at half-time as Team Also Ran powered into a 4-1 lead. Barry O'Mahony (2), Paul O'Byrne and Lorcan Aherne all scored for the Irish team. Eric Loomans scored the goal for the Dutch team.

In the second half ADP Netherlands 2 launched a stunning comeback as Loomans was again amongst the goals. Team Also Ran had just enough in the tank though and Paul Torsney's goal, the fifth for his team, ultimately proved to be the winner.

Team Also Ran were through 5-4. ADP Netherlands 2 were out but there was still Dutch interest in the tournament as their first team were due on next in the Cup Quarter-Finals.
