Rapid Bosco Navas were back in action having made their slowest start to a eurofootballfives.com tournament in their 8 appearances thus far. If they could find their old form that saw them win the title in 2008 they still had an outside chance of the Cup with two wins from their final two games. It was not going to be easy though as they met Los Swallacticos who were unbeaten.

Los Swallacticos kept their good form going when Duncan Macauley scored his second goal in as many games. In the second half Deaghlan O'Hagan scored his third goal in as many games to make it 2-0 and they were on their way to victory number three.

Rapid Bosco Navas reduced arrears to 2-1 when Daniel Gomez Santamaria scored for the Spanish team. Time was against them though and the referee blew for full-time. It meant Los Swallacticos opened up a 5 point lead (albeit having played one game more) at the top. Rapid Bosco Navas remained in 4th position.

Club Tropicana had opened up with a win, followed by a narrow defeat and needed to bounce back with victory to move into second position. Their opponents ADP Royals were in search of their first points in Group B.

Club Tropicana Drinks FC had, to date, a 100% record against Spanish opposition in our tournaments – 2-1 v Notigham Pressa in Valencia and 1-0 v Rapid Bosco Navas in Barcelona. They were on course for an international hat-trick when Andrew Sargent struck the first goal of the game.

Andrew Sargent added to his, and Club Tropicana's, tally in the second half to make it 2-0 and the points were heading their way. They must wish they could play Spanish opposition every game.

Club Tropicana Drinks FC moved above Farcelona into 2nd place. ADP Royals remained rooted to the bottom of Group B.

Game 8 of Group B was the most important to date between the two unbeaten teams – Farcelona and Los Swallacticos. Farcelona had 1 win and 1 draw to their name whereas Los Swallacticos had 100% record and 9 points.

Los Swallacticos only needed a point to secure Cup qualification as 10 points would see them win Group B or qualify as one of the best Runners-Up. A defeat would leave things in the balance and leave their fate in the hands of others. Farcelona could move into second place with a win and one final game to go could even see them crowned Group winners. There was much to play for.

We had a goal-fest to enjoy and the first-half saw 5 goals scored. Farcelona edged it 3-2 thanks to strikes from Paul Arthur and two from Mark Arthur. Kevin Niblock had scored both the goals for Los Swallacticos that set-up an enthralling second period.

The second period was much more tense and cagey. It didn't see the goal-scoring heights of the opening period and when the next goal arrived it was a clincher. Mark Arthur grabbed it to complete his hat-trick and put him on 5 for the tournament.

The final score was 4-2 and made the group really interesting. Los Swallacticos lead the way on 9 points but had Farcelona (7 points) and Club Tropicana (6 points) hot on their heels.

Game 9 was the battle for fourth position in Group B. With just one point between the two teams they were unable to reach Club Tropicana in 3rd even with a win. Rapid Bosco Navas could potentially reach the Plate with a win and 4 points if that made them the best 4th place finishers. They would have to wait and see though.

If ADP Royals could win it would almost certainly consign both teams to the Trophy competition in this afternoon's knock-out stage. A draw would guarantee this outcome and see Rapid Bosco Navas finish 4th.

Rapid Bosco Navas opened the scoring in this fixture as Juan Martinez scored his second goal of the day. It was just 1-0 at half-time though. There was a double for Juan Pablo at the start of the second half and Luis Beato completed a convincing 4-0 win. Too little, too late for them as they missed the Cup for the first time in their history.

Just as with Group A, Group B finished with an enthralling fixture with much to decide. Los Swallacticos could only watch as Club Tropicana Drinks FC and Farcelona took to the field.

A Farcelona win would see them win the Group, Los Swallacticos finish 2nd and possibly make the Cup as one of the best 2nd placed finishers. Club Tropicana Drinks FC would finish 3 rd and make the Plate.

A draw would mean Los Swallacticos win Group B, Farcelona finish 2nd and possibly make the Cup as one of the best 2nd placed finishers. Club Tropicana Drinks FC would finish 3rd and make the Plate.

A Club Tropicana Drinks FC would see them win Group B on goal difference, Los Swallacticos finish 2nd and possibly make the Cup as one of the best 2nd placed finishers. Farcelona would finish 3rd and make the Plate.

Any one of three teams could win Group B but when we reached half-time Club Tropicana Drinks FC were heavy favourites thanks to goals from Ross Williams and Richard Powell. In the second half they strengthened their position with goals from David Sajic and Lewis Mann. Paul Arthur scored for Farcelona but it was to be a mere consolation as Club Tropicana Drinks FC took the Group B title – congratulations to them.

As it turned out, Los Swallacticos had done enough to also reach the Cup. Farcelona would qualify for the Plate.
