Each team now had just two games left in Group A as we approached the business end of the group tables in Barcelona . Rapid Bosco Navas and Wafty Crankers were two of three teams who found themselves on 6 points. Rapid Bosco Navas had the advantage of goal difference and were probably favourites as they'd scored 8 in their last two games. The Wafty Crankers would have to defend well and whilst they blunted many of the Spanish attacks they could not keep them out totally as Juan Martinez's 4th goal of the tournament gave them a 1-0 lead at half-time. His fifth goal in four games made it 2-0 and that's how we finished.

Rapid Bosco Navas goalkeeper David Garcia Gallego became the first goalkeeper in eurofootballfives competition to keep a clean sheet against Wafty Crankers….at the 15th time of asking. Rapid Bosco Navas were right in the race to make the Cup although Wafty Crankers were looking fairly sure of plying their trade in the Plate for the afternoon knock-outphase.

On paper Warranty Direct looked like strong favourites against Equipo A who were struggling in this particular tournament. Warranty Direct by contrast were having a great day and despite a blip in their previous game were still in a strong position. They couldn't afford any slip ups though and didn't look like making any as they raced to a 2-0 lead. In the second half they completed the job 3-0. David Payne added two more goals and his personal tally was 6 and a strong contender for the top goalscorer prize. Captain Chris Fajer also opened his tournament account. They moved to 9 points and kept up the pressure on the two teams above them.

Game 12 of Group A saw top side Magic Monkeys take on bottom team London Rivals. There would have to be a huge change in fortune for a shock here as Monkeys keeper Szeliga was still to concede in this tournament so when Russell Chopping opened the scoring for Magic Monkeys the London Rivals must have known the writing was on the wall. Chopping added a second in the game to move him onto 4 for the day, Patrick Moran broke his duck and Tim Scholes scored his second of the tournament. The final score of 4-0 was a comfortable one but London Rivals had one more game to improve their luck in this tournament.
