The final round of Group A began with a heavyweight clash between the top two teams as Shush IF faced FC NoeNoe. The Swedes sat at the summit on 10 points and required only a draw to secure the Group A title, while FC NoeNoe were three points behind and knew victory would guarantee their place in the Cup competition. Defeat or even a draw could have left the Dutch side looking nervously over their shoulders, with third place breathing down their necks. There was plenty at stake, and both teams knew the importance of getting the result they needed.

This contest burst into life from the outset. Shush IF twice edged in front during a thrilling first half, with Matteo Centellini and Gustav Lewander finding the net for the Swedish side. FC NoeNoe, however, refused to let the leaders pull away. Haroun Kamarkheyl continued his impressive tournament with another goal before Shakir Latifi brought the scores level once more. The teams went into the break locked at 2–2 after one of the most entertaining opening halves of the day.

With qualification and top spot still hanging in the balance, the second half became a tense and absorbing battle. FC NoeNoe knew they needed one more goal to secure their Cup place, while Shush IF were equally determined to preserve first position. The decisive moment arrived through Ehsan Aziz, whose outstanding goalscoring form continued as he fired FC NoeNoe into a 3–2 lead. From there, the Dutch side defended resolutely, denying the Swedes an equaliser and seeing out a priceless victory.

In the end, the result proved to be enough for both teams to celebrate. FC NoeNoe's hard-fought win secured their place in the Cup competition and kept alive their hopes of a second Amsterdam Sixes title and a third successive Cup Final appearance. Despite the defeat, Shush IF also had plenty to cheer, as their superior goal difference ensured they finished top of Group A and claimed the group title. Both sides had richly earned their places in the knockout stages after an excellent group campaign.

The penultimate fixture in Group A was scheduled to see Habemus Papam take on Victory United, but unfortunately the match could not take place after Habemus Papam were unable to fulfil the fixture due to injuries. As a result, Victory United were awarded a 3–0 walkover victory. While the Dutch side would undoubtedly have preferred to earn the points on the pitch - especially after building impressive momentum with back-to-back victories and ten unanswered goals - they accepted the walkover, which moved them onto nine points and confirmed a third-place finish in the Group A standings.

Victory United can take great pride in the way they recovered from losing their opening two matches. Their remarkable turnaround secured a place in the Plate competition, where they would undoubtedly fancy their chances of mounting a serious challenge for silverware. For Habemus Papam, it was a disappointing way for their tournament to end, and everyone at eurofootballfives wishes them a speedy recovery from their injury problems. We hope to see them back at a future event to continue what had been a spirited and competitive debut campaign.

The final match of Group A brought together 6Guys and Retainers Stoned with both teams' knockout destinations already confirmed. 6Guys knew they would be heading into the Plate competition regardless of the outcome, but victory would at least give them valuable momentum and the opportunity to finish level on points with Victory United in the battle for third place. Retainers Stoned, meanwhile, were playing their final match of the tournament. Although progression was no longer possible, the English side were determined to end their campaign on a high and reward themselves for the commitment and resilience they had shown throughout the day.

Retainers Stoned made the brighter start and gave themselves something to protect when Lawrence Cook broke the deadlock in the first half. It was a thoroughly deserved reward for an energetic display and ensured the English team carried a 1–0 advantage into the interval. For 6Guys, there was growing concern. After opening the tournament with two successive victories, they had lost their next two matches and were in danger of ending the group stage with a third consecutive defeat.

The Dutch side responded impressively after the restart. Jos Jellema drew 6Guys level to settle any nerves before Mischa Skrypets completed the turnaround with a well-taken finish to make it 2–1. Retainers Stoned refused to let their heads drop and continued to compete strongly despite knowing this would be their final appearance of the tournament. However, as they pushed forward in search of another equaliser, Skrypets struck again to score his second goal of the match and seal a 3–1 victory for 6Guys.

The win ensured 6Guys headed into the Plate competition with renewed confidence after arresting their recent slide in results. Although they ultimately finished behind Victory United on goal difference, the performance provided plenty of encouragement ahead of the knockout stage. For Retainers Stoned, the tournament came to an end despite another wholehearted display. They can take pride in the spirit they showed throughout the competition, and with their own campaign complete, they could now relax, enjoy the bar and barbecue, and cheer on their sister squad competing over in Group B.
