The
opening Cup Semi-Final brought together Shush
IF of Sweden and Hilfe FC of England. Shush IF
had topped Group A with three wins, one draw and
just a single defeat, while Hilfe FC had amassed
an excellent 12 points from a possible 15 in Group
B, only missing out on first place after a narrow
defeat in their final group match. With both teams
having impressed throughout the day, this had
all the ingredients of a Cup Final-worthy contest,
and few would have been surprised had either side
gone on to lift the trophy.
The
match certainly lived up to expectations. It was
played at a high tempo, with both teams showing
the quality that had carried them through a demanding
group stage. By the half-time whistle, Hilfe FC
held a slender 2–1 advantage, with Usamah Asania
proving the difference as he scored both of his
side's goals. Shush IF remained firmly in the
contest thanks to another important strike from
Oscar To Min, whose fifth goal of the tournament
kept the Swedish side within touching distance.
The
second half was every bit as competitive, but
defences began to dominate as both teams recognised
the importance of the next goal. Shush IF pushed
hard for an equaliser that would have taken the
tie to penalties, while Hilfe FC defended resolutely
and managed the game with great composure. Despite
the Swedish side's best efforts, the scoreline
remained unchanged, and Hilfe FC's disciplined
display earned them a hard-fought 2–1 victory.
Commiserations
to Shush IF, whose tournament was one of the standout
stories of the day. The Swedish side played some
exceptional football, won Group A against strong
opposition and demonstrated quality, organisation
and resilience throughout the competition. On
another day, they could easily have been celebrating
a place in the final themselves, such was the
fine margin between the last four teams. Congratulations
go to Hilfe FC, who rose to the occasion when
it mattered most and earned the opportunity to
compete for the biggest prize of the tournament.

The
second Cup Semi-Final was a blockbuster encounter
between two of the most successful teams in
Amsterdam Sixes history as Humble Goats faced
FC NoeNoe. There was plenty of history between
the clubs, with this fixture a repeat of the
2024 Cup Final, when FC NoeNoe emerged victorious
by a 4–2 scoreline. FC NoeNoe were aiming for
a third successive Cup Final appearance, while
Humble Goats were hoping to reach their third
Amsterdam Sixes final and move one step closer
to adding the title to their already impressive
eurofootballfives.com honours list. With FC
NoeNoe also arriving as the tournament's leading
goalscorers, this promised to be another classic.
The
game was every bit as close as anticipated.
Both teams defended superbly, knowing that one
mistake could prove decisive, and clear-cut
chances were few and far between during a tense
opening period. Neither side could find the
breakthrough before the interval, and the teams
went into the break locked together at 0–0 with
the Semi-Final perfectly poised. The decisive
moment arrived in the second half. Humble Goats
continued the disciplined defensive display
that had become the hallmark of their recent
run and finally found the goal that separated
the teams. Youssef Yachou produced the all-important
finish to make it 1–0, taking his tournament
tally to four goals and drawing level with Jazz
Prins as Humble Goats' leading scorer. Just
as impressive as the winning goal was the defensive
effort behind it, with goalkeeper Jamal Oulad
Mhand Aissa marshalling his defenders to record
a third consecutive clean sheet. Against the
competition's highest-scoring side, that achievement
underlined exactly why Humble Goats deserved
their place in the final.
Commiserations
go to FC NoeNoe, whose remarkable Amsterdam
Sixes record remains one to be admired. Champions
in 2024, runners-up in 2025 and now semi-finalists
in 2026. It was not to be today but there is
little doubt they will be back to challenge
again. Congratulations to Humble Goats, who
not only gained revenge for their 2024 Cup Final
defeat but also earned a deserved place in the
2026 Amsterdam Sixes Cup Final.
