Game 10 in Group B was an important one. It was Armada All Stars versus Dnipro. Having had their last game curtailed Armada All Stars would be keen to get back into action in the Sevens tournament. They were currently in fourth position and knew a win here would virtually assure them a place in the Plate qualification and knock-out Dnipro in the process.

Dnipro simply couldn't afford to lose this game. A draw would give them a stay of execution going into Round 5 but a loss would see them eliminated (6 points off Plate qualification with just 3 points available after this). Dnipro got off to the perfect start as Mitch Scheiner put the 1-0 up. They had opened the scoring in Round 1 only to see that lead disappear and so alarm bells would have been ringing when Tom Vivian scored his second goal in the Sevens to equalize for Armada All Stars.

Dnipro put that disappointment behind them though and restored their lead through David Ribeiro's strike. The game finished 2-1 and Dnipro moved level on points with Armada All Stars. Armada All Stars still held fourth position due to a superior goal difference.

It was an all-Dutch affair in Game 11 of Group B as The Bastards met The Gentleman's Club. Due to the result of the previous game, The Bastards had slipped to the foot of the table. They were still in touching distance of Plate qualification though – just 2 points away. However, they needed to put further points on the board quickly. Time was beginning to run out.

The Gentleman's Club were hanging on the coat tails of City FC and Milner Street above them. This was a chance for them to really close the gap and move into the top two. If they could win here they knew their two rivals were due to meet head-to-head in the next game. At least one of those teams would drop points and so The Gentleman's Club would need to take full advantage here.

That is exactly what they did but they didn't have it easy though. There was only one goal to separate the teams. That goal was scored by David Ribeiro – his third in four games. A first clean sheet of the day helped them to earn all 3 points. They moved top of the table and would eagerly watch on for the result of the next game.

The final fixture of Group B, Round 4 was City FC versus Milner Street. This would be a fascinating context. The two Cup qualification places were between three teams who had been nip and tuck through this group phase. Despite having a 100% record City FC were still only joint top and two points ahead of third position. Amazingly, defeat could see them drop out of the top two. A win would put them 3 points clear at the top though.

For Milner Street a win would see them leapfrog City FC and The Gentleman's Club to move into the lead of Group B with just a game to go. It would mean the top three would be separated by just 1 point. The stakes were high for both teams and their title aspirations.

It was City FC who kept their momentum going forward in this tournament. Nathan Leather's second of the day and Ben Kaye's first ensured they would have a 2-0 lead at half-time. In the second half it got even better for City FC as Bradley Hayden extended the lead to 3-0. They seemed to be moving through the gears and getting better game by game.

Milner Street and Freddie Wilkinson had the last word though as he scored to reduce the deficit to 3-1. Whilst it didn't matter in this game, goal difference could well be crucial in Round 5. We would have to wait and see.

In the meantime, the result meant City FC had qualified for the Cup competition. Very well done to them.
