The start of Round 2 saw two Dutch teams meeting face-to-face. It was Murder on Zidane's Floor versus Humble Goats. The two teams had differing experiences in the opening period. Murder on Zidane's Floor had slipped to a 1-0 defeat and were looking to bounce back. Humble Goats would hope to embark on a winning streak having claimed victory over JK Silvertown previously.

Humble Goats made it four goals without reply at the start of the first half as Deyae El Kanfoundi put his team 1-0 up. Murder on Zidane's Floor were competitive as they had been in Round 1 but again they found themselves 1-0 down at the break. They were still looking for their first goal of the tournament but instead of finding an equalizer it was Humble Goats who scored the next goal in this tie.

Raphael Antonio Oliveiro Hernandez made it 2-0 to Humble Goats as they marched to another 3 points. There was still time for Murder on Zidane's Floor to make their mark on this tournament – 3 more games to go.

FC Tpaktop joined us for the first time at the 2021 Barcelona Fives. They opened up with a 1-1 draw against eventual Plate winners FC Maroon before a narrow 2-1 defeat to eventual group winners FC Maresmex of Spain. A 1-1 draw followed against 2019 Amsterdam Fives winners Epsilon Rovers. They then finished the group off with a 3-2 win versus The Basemen who were Cup Semi-Finalists at the 2022 Lisbon Tournament last month.

Those results meant they finished in second place in the league table to qualify for the elite Cup competition. They were the only travelling team amongst three Spanish teams in the Cup Semi-Finals. That's where their challenge ended as they narrowly missed out on the Cup Final, 3-2. FC Tpaktop are a team of international friends from Ukraine, Russia, Moldova, Lithuania and Latvia.

It was first round defeat for FC Tpaktop and, sadly for them, a second defeat was incoming in Round 2. Colonel Getafe already had a victory under their belts and they were soon to make it two wins from two. Oli Grossman, Teddy Hanifan and Henry Hanifan were all on target for the English team, 3-0.

The final game of Round 2 was Turn Down For Watford versus JK Silvertown. These teams had mixed fortunes in Round 1 with Turn Down For Watford picking up a 3-0 victory over FC Tpaktop. JK Silvertown had slipped to a 4-0 defeat against Humble Goats. Could Turn Down For Watford make it 2 wins from 2 and go to the top of the table or could JK Silvertown bounce back?

JK Silvertown debuted here at the 2017 tournament and drew a really tough group – for example, Naranjitos (Spa) were 2 nd of 32 teams in the 2017 Barcelona Fives but could only finish 4 th in Group A of the 2017 Amsterdam Fives. JK Silvertown secured second place in the table behind Vieze Vu (Hol). Vieze Vu finished 2 nd in the Fives and also won the Sixes (as Toros). They progressed to the Cup Quarter-Finals and beat Club Atlantico Nationale, 2-0. They then met BSP FC who were on fire at this stage en route to the title. JK Silvertown were unable to halt their progress and went out 6-1.

Their hopes of Cup qualification today were diminishing as Turn Down For Watford added to the woes inflicted by Humble Goats. Ben Gregory opened the scoring for Turn Down For Watford before Rich Lyons made it 2-0, Daniel Wall 3-0 (half-time) and then Charlie Reeves completed a fine 4-0 win.
