Milner
Street had just seen The Gentleman's Club move
above them and they had slipped down to third
as a result. However, a win would see them climb
from third to first (albeit with City FC having
a game in hand). Their opponents would be Armada
All Stars who had just claimed their first win
in the Sevens. A win for Armada All Stars would
see them go top and make it a three team tie
on 6 points at the top.
James
Gallagher scored to put Milner Street 1-0 ahead
in the first half but this game was overshadowed
by an injury to one of his team-mates. After
an awkward fall, one of the players broke his
arm and was attended to on the pitch by our
first aider and then a paramedic. This all took
some time and it seemed the sensible thing to
end this particular game at this point.
It
goes without saying we wish the injured player
well (we will spare his name for the report
for his privacy) and we hope he makes a full
and speedy recovery. If it's any consolation,
he seemed to enjoy the Ketamin the paramedics
administered. A tenuous silver lining perhaps.
Anyway, get well soon.
