In the second round of the tournament, Riise's Pieces faced off against Argon'ze A. These two teams have a close affiliation with our Barcelona Fives tournament as they have made 6 appearances in Catalunya between them. Argon'ze in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2022, Riise's Pieces in 2021 and 2023. Argon'ze had achieved the best results of the two teams in Barcelona with a Cup Semi-Final appearance in 2018.

Here in Amsterdam, Argon'ze A (Fra) secured a narrow but significant 1-0 victory over Riise's Pieces in their second game of the tournament. The match saw Argon'ze A bounce back from their earlier defeat to Jamaica Bell. Determined to make up for their previous loss, they pushed forward with intent. Their efforts bore fruit in the first half when Alann Goerke managed to break through Riise's Pieces' defense and net a crucial goal.

As the second half unfolded, Riise's Pieces, who had suffered a 4-1 defeat to Luca Toni FC in their first game, were keen to equalize and get back into the match. They ramped up their offensive efforts, putting Argon'ze A under pressure. However, Argon'ze A's defense held firm, displaying resilience and tactical discipline to thwart Riise's Pieces' attacks ensuring that Alann Goerke's first-half goal remained the match-winner.

Round 2 continued as Shaheens United clashed with Luca Toni FC in a highly anticipated encounter.

Luca Tonii FC were marking their 5th appearance in our events. Most recently, they competed at the 2022 Mallorca Fives. It was another impressive performance as they won Group B. They opened up with a 2-2 draw against RSC Andylecht before a 2-0 victory over Deportivo Dooradoyle. Further wins followed against Lindfield FC C (9-0), Malo Guerreros (6-0) and Los Froggies Del Patron (2-1). They qualified for the Cup competition and defeated Las Zacarenas in the Quarter-Finals, 2-0. Their run came to an end in the next round when they lost 6-1 to Lindfield FC A.

The reigning Amsterdam Sixes champions, Shaheens United, made a slow start in Round 1 but finished strongly to equalise for 3-3. They made a stronger start here as they opened up a 2-0 lead by half-time. Umar Mohammad scored for the second game in a row and Hassan Mirza was also on target.

Luca Toni FC had work to do in the second half and they roared back in style. Carlos Gazapo pulled a goal back and then equalised. Marco Amezcua then put Luca Toni FC 3-2 up and momentum was with the Swiss side. Paul McFarlen increased that lead to 4-2 and it looked like game over. Omar Shoaib reignited Shaheens United's hope at 4-3 but a comeback was snuffed out by Carlos Gazapo's hat-trick goal. A great game and 5-3 to Luca Toni FC.

In the final game of Round 2, Jamaica Bell continued their impressive form with a dominant 3-0 victory over Tilbury Douglas. Following their opening 3-0 win against Argon'ze A, Jamaica Bell showcased their attacking prowess once again, solidifying their position at the top of the Group A table (on goal difference) by the end of Round 2.

The game kicked off with both teams displaying high energy and determination. Tilbury Douglas, having drawn 3-3 against the reigning Amsterdam Sixes champions Shaheens United in their first game, aimed to secure their first win of the tournament. However, it was Jamaica Bell who quickly asserted their dominance.

Leo Thom opened the scoring in the first half with a well-executed goal, giving Jamaica Bell a 1-0 lead. As the second half unfolded, Jamaica Bell intensified their efforts to secure a more comfortable lead. This paid off when Robbie Stanforth extended the lead to 2-0 with a clinical finish. Leo Thom struck again later in the half, cementing Jamaica Bell's dominance with his second goal of the game. Thom's performance was a standout so far with 4 goals in 2 games. This third goal effectively sealed the match, leaving Tilbury Douglas with little chance of a comeback.

The final whistle confirmed Jamaica Bell's 3-0 victory, a strong foundation for their tournament campaign. For Tilbury Douglas, the defeat underscored the competitive nature of the tournament and the need to regroup ahead of their remaining fixtures.
