Fat
Ginger Kids went into Round 2 looking to build
upon their opening point and claim their first
victory of the day when they met Rovers United.
Rovers United had the chance to bounce back
from defeat against Athletico Do Hollande. Although
there was no shame in that defeat starting off
with a loss can cause a damage to confidence.
If
there was crisis of confidence, Fat Ginger Kids
took full advantage as Paddy Gillett and then
Rob Logan helped them to a 2-0 lead. Rovers
United reduced the arrears to 2-1 and it was
still only half-time.
In
the second half Rovers United tried their best
to get on level terms but Fat Ginger Kids held
on to a richly earned victory and they had 4
points out of 6 – a great early return and they
sat 2nd in the table. It was a second defeat
for Rovers United but as we mentioned for RFM
there was still plenty of time and a potential
9 points to play for.
