Match
2 saw Missing Magpies versus RFM. Missing Magpies
are a new team but have eurofootballfives.com
experience amongst their ranks in the shape
of Tom Bird. Tom was part of the Saipan FC squad
who finished 2 nd in the 2011 Prague Masters
Plate competition. Saipan FC went on to a Cup
Final in Barcelona this year and Missing Magpies
would surely hope to emulate that.
RFM
entered two squads into the 2009 Amsterdam Fives
under the names Tom Tom One and Tom Tom Go.
The two squads had mixed fortunes on the day
with one squad making the Cup Semi-Finals before
going out to the eventual winners, Bull Heads,
and the other squad narrowly coming runners-up
in the Plate Final to Plate specialists the
CSF. In 2010, they finished 5th in their 6 team
group to miss out on the knock-out stages. They
come back with a vengeance in 2011 when they
went all the way through to the Cup Semi-Finals
before going out to Athletico Do Hollande.
RFM
were certainly an improving team and that run
continued from last year when they took the
lead in this one through Gary Walsh. Missing
Magpies hit back before the break through Sam
Fleet and we were 1-1 at half-time. There was
no addition to the score in the second half
and the teams would have to settle for a point
each. Only time would tell if this was a point
gained or two points dropped.
