It
was El A Dees versus CEPL in game 5 of Group
A. Both teams opened up their campaign with
success and a second victory here would put
them in command of the group and put them well
on their way to Cup qualification.
El
A Dees struck first with Oliver Wood's third
goal in two games and it was they who looked
on course for 6 points out of a maximum 6. Their
lead was a slender one throughout the game though
and they were unable to build upon their advantage
meaning that CEPL were always just the one goal
away from getting back in this tie.
Adrian
Tezyk's second goal in the tournament meant
that CEPL did get back on level terms when they
equalised to make it 1-1. In the end the points
were shared and the two teams shared the lead
at the top of Group A although it was CEPL who
took 1 st place on goal difference.
