The first game of Round 2 saw Drum Major FC take on Pimp My Side FC. The former were looking to build upon a solid opening draw against Wilhelmus whilst Pimp My Side FC were aiming to bounce back from an opening game defeat to CEPL.

With the game underway it was the former who were indeed building on their opening performance as it was Drum Major FC who took the lead through Christian Leslie's second goal in as many games. It was a first half strike that gave them a lead at half-time and through much of the second half. It looked for long periods in this game as if that goal was going to earn Drum Major FC their first victory but Pimp My Side FC had other ideas.

Ray Bell struck a very late equalizer for Pimp My Side that meant they avoid slipping to a second defeat in a row. It was a vital goal that saw them register their first points in Group A and hopefully for them be a catalyst to better things in Group A. It was another point for Drum Major FC who had a platform to kick on and build their points tally with 3 further games to go.

It was El A Dees versus CEPL in game 5 of Group A. Both teams opened up their campaign with success and a second victory here would put them in command of the group and put them well on their way to Cup qualification.

El A Dees struck first with Oliver Wood's third goal in two games and it was they who looked on course for 6 points out of a maximum 6. Their lead was a slender one throughout the game though and they were unable to build upon their advantage meaning that CEPL were always just the one goal away from getting back in this tie.

Adrian Tezyk's second goal in the tournament meant that CEPL did get back on level terms when they equalised to make it 1-1. In the end the points were shared and the two teams shared the lead at the top of Group A although it was CEPL who took 1 st place on goal difference.

To complete the second round of fixtures was Room 20 against Wilhelmus. Both teams could well do with a win as Room 20 were looking for their first points following a narrow 2-3 defeat in the opening fixture. Wilhelmus were pegged back from a winning position twice in their first game so would hope to go one better in this game and take all 3 points.

The first half came and went with no score and the teams started the second half all square at 0-0. Room 20 made the breakthrough in the second period through David Bland which sparked a frenetic few minutes as Room 20 raced into a 3-0 lead with Harry Holder making it 2-0 before Bland added his second of the game. The goals came in quick succession and pretty much decided this fixture.

Wilhelmus had time to reduce the deficit to 3-1 through Tom Marshall but the damage was already done and they suffered their first defeat of the day. Congratulations to Room 20 though who had their first win and were the big movers of Round 2 as they climbed to 3rd position in the table.
