Next
up was FC Fylde B versus GSF Drunkerz. FC Fylde
B were in the luxurious position of knowing
a draw in this game would guarantee them a place
in the Cup with a game to spare and also clinch
the Group B title. They had a 100% record and
were yet to concede a goal. They had taken to
eurofootballfives.com football with aplomb.
At
the start of Round 4, GSF Drunkerz were their
closest rivals but still 4 points behind Fylde.
A win would naturally close the gap to a point
but would keep them in second position. A loss
for the Slovakian team could see them slip to
fourth position.
This
would no doubt be FC Fylde B's toughest game
of the group as GSF Drunkerz were still unbeaten
in the Krakow Trophy – not just this year but
since their debut last year. Including the 3
games today, they had a record of 9 games, 4
wins, 5 defeats, 20 goals scored and 9 against.
Only penalties had knocked them out last year.
Could they extend their unbeaten run to 10 matches
in Poland?
FC
Fylde B were not to achieve a third clean sheet
though as their defence was breached for the
first time today. Jakub Mihalik was the man
with the goal for GSF Drunkerz – he was the
fifth different scorer for the Slovaks today.
Mihalik added a second for good measure and
it was 2-0 for GSF Drunkerz before half-time.
FC Fylde B had a mountain to climb in the second
half to keep their 100% record going. They were
ultimately unable to put a dent in the score
and they slipped to a 2-0 defeat.
FC
Fylde B retained their overall lead in Group
B but still had work to do going into the final
round of fixtures. GSF Drunkerz were now 10
games unbeaten in Krakow and 13 games unbeaten
overall in eurofootballfives.com competition
if you take their run back to the 2015 Bratislava
Fives. They were second in Group B.
