Group B began with Trinacria versus Deddington Sea Otters as Belgium played host to England.

Both teams were making their inaugural eurofootballfives.com appearance and had a blank canvas upon which to paint their footballing artistry. Deddington Sea Otters would have seen their sister squad (the Sea Eagles) open up their campaign in Group A with a draw. Could the Sea Otters match or beat their tour mates?

They got off to a great start as Joe Thornton became the first Sea Otter to score in Europe. His opening strike was added to by John Bird and they changed ends at half-time two goals to the good. Pretty easy this European football eh?

It was to get tougher in the second half though as Trinacria grew into the game and the tournament. Yassin Bouzonmita was the man to send the team from Belgium on their way. At 2-1 it was game on but Deddington Sea Otters had enough in the tank to see the game out and claim the 2-1 win.

Next up was FC Fylde B against Tea Time Pub – at least it was supposed to be. We received the news 20 minutes before kick-off that Tea Time Pub would have to withdraw from the tournament. Naturally this was very disappointing for everyone concerned. It meant that all teams scheduled to play Tea Time Pub would pick up a 3-0 walkover win.

The third scheduled game of Group B saw Two Balls One Touch taking on GSF Drunkerz.

Two Balls One Touch made their eurofootballfives.com debut in September 2015 at our Lisbon Tournament. In a competitive group they emerged with 1 win, 2 draws and 2 defeats to their name. They progressed to the Plate Quarter-Finals where they were undone by Spider Mans & Great Hawk, 3-1. Spider Mans & Great Hawk incidentally won Group A here at the 2016 Krakow Trophy before Cup Semi-Final defeat.

Fast forward to the 2016 Budapest Fives and Two Balls One Touch were drawn in Group A – it was the Group of Death. It featured both Cup finalists and the Plate winners. Two Balls One Touch struggled with 1 draw and 4 defeats – they will hope for a kinder draw in Krakow for their third eurofootballfives.com appearance.

The English team found it tough against their Slovakian opposition as they found themselves a goal down at half-time (Peter Cieker scored it). In the second half, Michal Horniak and Tomas Carny goals eased GSF Drunkerz away to a 3 goal victory and all 3 points.
