GSF Drunkerz and Deddington Sea Otters both came into the game on the back of wins in Round 1.

GSF Drunkerz (Svk) were making their fourth eurofootballfives.com appearance in Krakow and it will be their second eurofootballfives.com tournament “on tour” following their appearance in Krakow last year.

Their first two appearances had been on home soil at the Bratislava Fives where they enjoyed success on both occasions. In 2014 they were victorious in the Plate competition before winning the Cup competition in 2015.

GSF Drunkerz became the first Slovakian team to compete outside of Slovakia in eurofootballfives.com competition at the 2016 Krakow Trophy. They went through the group phase unbeaten with 3 wins and 2 draws as they finished 2 nd in Group A. In their Cup Quarter-Final they drew 1-1 with Nowa Huta Team but went out 5-4 on penalties. Could they go further in 2017?

They were on course for a second successive victory when Jan Balat put them 1-0 up in the first half against Deddington Sea Otters. They then hit the post after a goalmouth scramble. It was an even game though with chances at both ends and Deddington Sea Otters drew level through Joe Davies in the second half. GSF Drunkerz came closest to a winner when Peter Cieker hit the post but a 1-1 draw was probably the right result overall.

Two Balls One Touch were back on the field next against FC Fylde B. The former had lost their game (3-0) so were looking to bounce back quickly and put some points on the Group B table.

Fylde FC B had already collected three points but this was their first taste of action on the pitch. They collected their 3-0 walkover last time out but would want to earn their next 3 points on the field of play and preferably in this game.

Fylde FC B must have been champing at the bit to get started and it certainly looked that way as they got off to a flyer. Jack McCormick scored a double, at the double, in double quick time and it was Fylde who were in control of this fixture at half-time, 2-0.

You had to feel for Two Balls One Touch who brought a squad of 8 to Krakow but were down to the bare bones 5 already – they had 1 player injured, 1 player unwell and 1 player missing in action after Friday night's festivities. They were staring defeat in the face although tightened things up after the break. The damage was done in the first half though as FC Fylde B collected the victory.

As we mentioned in Round 1, Tea Time Pub had withdrawn at the last minute and therefore each team that was due to play them would earn a 3-0 walkover. In Round 2 it was the turn of Trinacria to collect the three points.
