The
biggest game of the Round was arguably Slavoj
Consumer versus JNJ Serbia. The match was a
direct shoot-out for Cup qualification. On the
back of 3 consecutive wins Slavoj Consumer sat
on 9 points and were favourites to make the
Cup as they only needed a draw to qualify. JNJ
Serbia were coming up on the rails and only
a win was good enough. If either team lost they
had the consolation of the Plate to compete
in.
The
first half was close and there was just the
odd goal in 3 to separate the two teams and
it was JNJ Serbia who lead by the odd goal in
3. The fourth goal of the game in the second
half proved to be the killer blow as JNJ Serbia
increased their lead to 3-1. JNJ Serbia then
eased their way to victory by going 4-1 up –
final score. Martin Cepek scored the goal for
Slavoj Consumer whilst there was two goals each
for Marko Matanovic and Aleksander Drodnjak
for JNJ Serbia
It
was such an emphatic win for such an important
fixture. JNJ Serbia would head into the Cup
high on confidence. Slavoj Consumer would enter
the Plate – a competition they were familiar
with having collected the Plate trophy in Prague
2012.
