In
the next game GBS Reds were looking to emulate
JNJ Russia B by making it two wins out of two.
In their way stood JNJ Wuppertal who had slipped
to defeat in their opening fixture and sought
their first points of the tournament.
JNJ
Wuppertal were second best in their first game
against a strong JNJ High Wycombe A team but
they were much improved in this fixture and
GBS Reds did not know what had hit them. The
German team raced into a 4-0 lead and it was
only half-time. In the second half they scored
3 more to seal an emphatic victory. GBS Reds
did get on the scoresheet with Vladimir Cimpl's
second goal in as many games – but it was only
a consolation. Final score, 7-1.
The
main architect of the victory was Rafael Jurek
who scored 5 goals and was ably assisted by
Giuseppe Raimondo and Christovao Mendes Fernandes.
