JNJ High Wycombe B (Eng)

Game 7 of Group B was an important fixture for Fi Tighe FC and even more so for JNJ Russia A. Both teams were unbeaten but JNJ Russia A lead the table with a 100% record. Fi Tighe FC only had 2 points to show for their efforts thus far and they needed a win to give them a boost up the Group B table.

JNJ Russia A were looking strong and they'd started well in each game buoyed by their B team and flag-bearers supporting from the side. This game was precisely the same as Artem Khodas put the Russians ahead. He scored twice in the last game and twice in the first half in this match.

Fi Tighe FC had drawn 0-0 and 1-1 to date but had their work cut out to make it 2-2 and get a third draw on the bounce. JNJ Russia A put the result beyond all doubt in the second half when Khodas completed his hat-trick for 3-0. 3-0 became 4-0 when Andrey Sheremetyev scored his fourth goal of the tournament to complete a resounding victory.

The result saw JNJ Russia A stretch their lead and leave Fi Tighe FC languishing FC despite just the one loss and to the strongest team in the group. The table was harsh from their perspective.

Disaster were next in action on pitch B as they took on slavoj Consumer. A win for either team would put them in 2nd place in the table so plenty to play for. Disaster had 4 points from a potential 6 and Slavoj Consumer came into the game on the back of their first victory of the day. This would be an interesting contest.

We were expecting a close game but there was only one team in it from the early stages. There were plenty of goals and they all hit the back of the Dutch net. Four goals in each half completed an 8-0 win - the result was the biggest win of the day.

The goals were shared around with strikes from David Blaha (2), Daniel Lemer (2), Michal Dudon (2), Ivan Berzedi and Lukas Pokorny. The win put Slavoj Consumer in second place in Group B whilst Disaster slipped to 4th position.

To complete Round 3 we had JNJ Serbia versus JNJ High Wycombe B to look forward to. At the end of Round 2 these teams sat in 5th and 6th position respectively and it was now or never for these two teams to get their campaign underway. A win was essential at this stage as the point for the draw would not really benefit either.

JNJ Serbia were the first to strike in this match during the opening period as Marko Matanovic put his team ahead. Matanovic scored four goals in Prague last year and he was showing similar goalscoring form in this game as he added a second before half-time. Aleksander Drobnjak made it 3-0 in the second half and the win was in the bag for the team from Belgrade.

The result lifted JNJ Serbia up into 3rd place and the table looked much better for them. For JNJ High Wycombe B it was not so pretty.
