Rigford
Seahawks Omega were back in action on Pitch
B against Irish team Deportivo Dooradoyle. This
was another game between two mid-table teams
on 3 points and with RFM winning, the team that
could take victory here would join the two Dutch
teams on 6 points at the top of the table.
Deportivo
Dooradoyle had to sit out the last round of
fixtures and maybe they were caught cold here
as Rigford Seahawks Omega opened up an early
2-0 lead courtesy of Clark Brady and Rich Clements.
From then on Dooradoyle improved but they were
unable to find a way past Alex Harding in the
Seahawks goal as he kept a second clean-sheet
of the day which helped to secure all three
points for his side.
With
two group games to go Deportivo Dooradoyle would
most likely need 4 points out of six to make
the Cup whereas just one more win for the Seahawks
should ensure their safe passage.
There
was just the academic process of adding Athletico
Do Hollande's three walkover points against
Blurry Eyed Winks to the table which further
established their lead at the top.
