Rigford Seahawks Omega went into Round 2 looking to build on their impressive start and make it two wins out of two. For their opponents RFM the tie represented a particularly difficult opening to their Amsterdam Fives campaign having drawn Athletico Do Hollande first up.

The Seahawks continued their opening game form to make it 5 goals without reply in the tournament thus far as Rich Clements gave them a 1-0 first half lead. RFM were behind again but they were a team with a lot of fighting spirit as they fought back in the second half.

First of all it was Richard Dewsbury who scored an equalizer for the second game running. Last time they got back on level terms they went behind again but not this time. Mick Walsh put RFM 2-1 up to complete a great turnaround. That's how the game finished and RFM had their first win of the day.

Both teams sat on 3 points with a won one, lost one record.

Next up was The Gunners versus Athletico Do Hollande in what was one of the best games of the tournament. The game was end-to-end with plenty of action and plenty of goals for the spectators to feast upon. In the early stages it would look like Athletico Do Hollande would run away with it as Jerrel Fraenk and Marvin Fraenk gave them a 2-0 lead. It looked like an easy three points. The Gunners had different ideas though as Sonny Javes and Frankie Notaro hit back to level things up 2-2 at the break.

How would Athletico Do Hollande respond? For the second game in a row they had seen a lead slip away. As in the first match they showed why they were two-time Portugal champions though as they regained the lead to secure all three points.

It was not plain sailing though as Frankie Notaro scored a second for him and a third for his team but Fernando Pique's goal and a double strike from John Hanst meant the Dutch team ran out 5-3 winners in a fantastic game.

At the end of Round 1 we said that Blurry Eyed Winks would have four more games to get their challenge up and running. Unfortunately their challenge up and went as Blurry Eyed Winks withdrew from the tournament. With some players suffering too much from the Amsterdam nightlife they, sadly, decided to call it a day.

It meant that Deportivo Dooradoyle picked up their first 3 points courtesy of a 3-0 walkover. We are sure they would have liked to have done it on the pitch but what can you do? Anyway, all future Blurry Eyed Winks fixtures would yield a 3-0 walkover for their scheduled opponents.
