AAK S&S had sat out Round 2 but were back in action again in Round 3 for their second fixture. They met Goals Aloud who were playing their third game. Both teams were on 3 points and knew that a win would give their campaign a huge boost in such a tight group.

Goals Aloud came into the game on the back of a heavy defeat and were much more competitive in this game but it did not prevent them trailing at half-time, 2-1, following goals from AAK's Richard Clubley and Kevin Stork. Sam Hall's first half goal kept the Welsh team in striking distance of their opponents.

In the second-half there were two further goals which the teams shared meaning AAK S&S maintained a 100% record as they ran out 3-2 winners. Kevin Stork grabbed his second of the game which ultimately proved the winner as Adam Davies' goal for Goals Aloud proved to be a consolation.

Rigford Seahawks Alpha and Inter Women both went into their next fixture high on confidence after a win in their previous games. Another win now and they would join AAK S&S on top of Group A with six points.

Inter Women took the early advantage when Mark Swift broke the deadlock to put them 1-0 ahead. It was a lead they were to hold until the break but not until full time as Wayne Hayes third goal of the tournament equalized for the Seahawks. It was an equalizer that earned his team a point as the game finished 1-1.

The draw was not ideal for either side but it kept momentum going for both teams and in a close group the point earned could prove decisive in the final shake-up.

The final game of Round 3 saw Czech Republic play Holland as GBS Reds met CEPL. Both teams had a won one, lost one record thus far with GBS Reds looking to make it two wins on the bounce. CEPL were hoping to put the last game behind them and rediscover their form of their first game.

The two teams proved evenly matched and what ensued was a very close contest. When the teams turned round at the interval we were still level at 0-0. A draw here would keep Group A incredibly close but if either team could snatch a winner the extra two points would be invaluable and also lift them to joint top.

Could anyone find a winner? Cometh the hour, cometh the man and that man was Jakub Salatek. His goal meant GBS Reds would claim their second successive victory by the slender scoreline of 1-0. With Round 3 done and dusted they were well placed on 6 points. CEPL were still very much in the mix but needed to return to winning ways.
