In
Game 8 of Group B, it was RFM of Holland playing
Crouch End Rangers of England with both squads
featuring English and Dutch players. Both team
sat on 3 points with the chance to kick on and
climb up the table. We were privileged to witness
three goals in this match with Crouch End Rangers
edging the contest with a final score of 2-1.
The result would see them consolidate 2 nd place
in the table and occupy the 2nd Cup qualification
position courtesy of goals from Tom O'Donnel and
Daryl Maitland. The RFM goalscorer was Willem
Van Vessum although it proved only to be a consolation
in a losing cause. Group B was proving congested
in the middle places so there was still much to
play for them with two games to go.
The
remaining fixture in the third round of games
was Kings Old Boys versus Bosco. It was now the
turn of Kings Old Boys to claim their 3 walkover
points which saw them sit nicely in 3rd place,
level on points with Crouch End Rangers, on goal
difference. Cup qualification for them was still
very much on the cards. |
