Group B began with two debutant teams from England kicking off on Pitch B as London's Midway FC met Liverpool's FC Dukesfield. With both teams playing in front of eurofootballfives.com crowd's for the first time we were not quite sure what to expect but what ensued was a closely fought contest.

Both teams were full of energy and exuberance to get the crucial first points on the board and kickstart their challenge. When the referee blew for full time it was the two defences that took the honours as they each repelled their opponents attacks. Both teams would have to settle for a point as the game finished 0-0.

Only time would tell if this was a point gained or two points lost but it was a solid start for the two teams that they could build on as the group developed.

With the opening four teams all drawing there was a real opportunity for the winner of the next game to open up a gap at the top. Both teams could afford to go for it as defeat would mean they were only 1 point adrift with four games to go but a 2 point lead at the top would be a great psychological way to start the campaign.

The teams taking to the field were the second team in the tournament to represent Ecuador, Guayaquil 100% against English team Inter Urmum. The opening half saw just the one goal and it was scored by Inter Urmum's Chris Aldred. In the second half it was goals galore as the team from Ecuador tried to get back into it. They did get back into it but not quite well enough as Inter Urmum secured all 3 points with a 3-2 victory and they sat pretty on top of Group B.

It was Harry Pritchard and then Marc Plumley who scored what was to prove the winner from Inter Urmum. For Quayaquil 100%, Piero Zapata and Joel Cuedillos both opened their account with what were ultimately consolation goals.
