The first game of Round 2 saw The Warriors take on Mavericks.

The Warriors had opened up their campaign with a defeat and would be looking to bounce back quickly. They would meet a Mavericks side who had a record in the group phase of eurofootballfives.com tournaments that read played 9, won 4, drawn 3 and lost just 2 with 12 goals scored and 9 conceded (including this morning's earlier game). Another win for Mavericks would put them in a strong position at the top of Group B.

With the game underway it was Grant Taylor who scored the first goal of the game for Mavericks. It was Grant Taylor's second in as many games and a goal that would give them a 1-0 lead at half-time. It was a goal that Iceland must have copied as it came from a long throw in that saw Taylor steal in unmarked at the far post.

After the break The Warriors pegged back their opponents when Alex Finney scored their first goal of the day. The goal would earn his team a 1-1 draw.

Ashtead Vets were next in action on Pitch D as they took on Tanagra. Could Ashtead Vets bounce back from opening game defeat? Or, would it be Tanagra starting the tournament with a 100% win record?

Sadly for Ashtead Vets fans it looked like being the latter. Tanagra wasted no time at all in establishing a 2-0 lead by the break with Rui Lopes and Helder Gomez grabbing the goals. In their first game Ashtead Vets had stabilized things in the second half after a slow start but they were powerless here to prevent Tanagra piling on the misery as Ashtead Vets were hit for six.

Tiago Carlos and Rondolfo Tarques both scored twice in the second half to wrap up a superb victory for the Portuguese team who went top.

The game that would complete the second round of fixtures was Pioes versus Weeds.

Back in 2013, Pioes (playing as Futsal Pioes) played in the Open Age section of the Lisbon Tournament and did rather well. Four wins and a draw from their group games saw them finish in second place as they qualified for the Cup. They were then eliminated at the Semi-Final stage by eventual winners HS Décor.

Pioes were off to a winning start here in Round 1 and they were playing a WEEDS team who had suffered defeat in their first fixture and looking to bounce back. It was Pioes who drew first blood in the opening half as Rui Fernandes notched his first of the day for the Portuguese team.

Could WEEDS respond in the second half? They were certainly competitive as they had been in their first game but they were ultimately unable to find a successful path to goal. Pioes preserved their clean sheet that helped them to a 1-0 victory. It was tough for WEEDS who had competed well in both games but had lost 1-0 on both occasions.
