Turn Down For Watford had already qualified for the Cup and won Group B with a game to spare. No doubt they would love to take this momentum into the Cup with another 3 points and to maintain that 100% record. Big Time Krakow were currently in fourth position and could still qualify for the Cup but they had to win this and hope RAF and Mngball FC both lost their final games.

These two teams had the joint best defence in Group B and perhaps it was no surprise that we were level 0-0 at the break. In the second half we were to get a winner. Cometh the hour, cometh the man and that man was Ola Haukland for Big Time Krakow. He scored to make it 1-0 and, with Adrian Baranek's third clean sheet of the day at the other end, Big Time Krakow had the win they needed. Would it be enough?

RAF, despite a spirited effort, faced their first loss in the tournament in their previous game and would look to bounce back in their final group game. Their fate was still in their own hands following Mngball FC's victory over Big Time Krakow. They currently resided in second place and knew a win would guarantee them Cup qualification and a shot at the title. Anything less and Mngball FC could potentially depose them should the English team beat Cream of the South (who were currently bottom).

RAF's opponents were to be CBT FC. CBT FC came into the game on a high having secured their first win of the day but they were to need another victory here and also one of Big Time Krakow and Mngball FC to lose their final game. The odds were against them not only in the quality of their opponents but also in the context of the group.

It was RAF who struck first thanks to a Joao Fernandes goal. At half-time the lead was slender but after the break RAF eased away from their opposition. Tiago Nogueira became the first man to score two hat-tricks in the tournament as he extended the RAF lead from 1-0 to 4-0.

By now, CBT FC knew they were heading out of the tournament but they did leave with a final hurrah as William Baker scored to make it 4-1. It was to be a mere consolation for the English team as we said farewell to them, on the pitch at least.

RAF had a bit of a scare but had successfully negotiated the group phase.

So, the last game on the field in Group B would be Mngball FC versus Cream of the South. The latter already knew this would be their final game and so had a free hit at getting a victory. For Mngball FC, at kick-off, there was a lot riding on this game. They currently sat just a point off the Cup qualification spaces. They needed a win here to maximise their chances but they also needed RAF to lose or draw. It was out of their control but all they could do was try to win this match.

Following an evenly contested first half the two teams entered half-time at 0-0. Mngball FC needed one final push to try and grab victory. If they were following the action on Pitch B they would have learned that RAF were 1-0 up so they also needed CBT FC to do them a favour.

In the second half here Mngball FC did what they needed to do with James Evans bagging his fourth and fifth goals of the day. Cream of the South were unable to respond as Grant Turner and his defence secured their second clean sheet of the tournament.

A quick glance over to Pitch B and Mngball FC would have seen that RAF were 4-1 up against CBT FC. Despite the 2-0 win, Mngball FC's efforts had been in vain in terms of Cup qualification. They had secured safe passage through to the Plate competition though and still had a shot at taking silverware home on the plane.
