Krwiodawcow
Cracovii made their debut in our tournaments
at the 2022 Krakow Veterans Tournament. It was
a tough baptism of fire when they met fellow
Polish team Wtorek Veterans and lost 4-0. They
quickly bounced back with a 2-1 win over Bure
Park Old Boys. It was 2 wins on the spin when
they defeated Eggy Bhaji FC, 4-1. They were
up against Galbarnia that would decide whether
they would reach the Cup or Plate, they lost
6-0. In the Plate Semi-Finals they drew 3-3
with Bure Park Seniors before emerging victorious
5-4 on penalties. They set up a rematch against
Bure Park Old Boys and did the double over them
(1-0) as they claimed the Plate victory.
In
a thrilling all-Polish clash in 2023, Krwiodawcow
Cracovii faced off against Alea Iacta Est in
a match that promised local pride and intense
competition. They were looking to bounce back
from a heavy defeat first time out. The first
half saw Krwiodawcow Cracovii taking the lead,
thanks to a beautifully executed penalty by
Ian Corkill. His spot-kick found the top left
corner of the net with precision, giving the
home team a 1-0 advantage. However, Alea Iacta
Est showed their resilience and determination.
They managed to level the score before halftime,
as Piotr Malenczak found the back of the net.
Despite
the best efforts of both sides in the second
half, neither team could break the deadlock.
The defences held strong, and the match ended
in a hard-fought 1-1 draw. It was a first point
on the board for both teams as they looked to
kickstart their campaigns.
