Rapid Bosco Navas, having drawn their previous game, needed to get back to winning ways to keep pace with Preston OAPs. The mission for Idealhouseshare Allstars was altogether different – they needed to get points on the board. A close first half saw Rapid Bosco Navas open up a 2-1 lead thanks to Xavier Llimona and Juan Martinez each scoring their second goal of the tournament.

If the game finished this way the Spanish team would return to the top of Group B. Idealhouseshare Allstars had other ideas though and they hit back to secure a draw. It was a great second half performance as goals from the man they call ‘Elvis' (2) and Ben Phillips earned a 3-3 draw. Martinez's second of the game and third of the day prevented an English win. The result was Rapid Bosco Navas's second draw in a row, halting their progress and keeping them in 2nd.

Rapid Bosco Navas' draw meant Preston OAPs went into their 3 rd game knowing a win would mean a 4 point lead in Group B, guarantee them the Group B title and Cup qualification. Their task was not an easy one though as Intermore FC were fresh from their first win of the day. Preston OAPs had most of the attacking play and took the lead through Chris Pye. Almost straight away Paul Reid brought Irish level again at 1-1.

In the second half when Preston OAPs they took the lead they never looked back as 2-1 became 5-1. Chris Pye scored his second successive hat-trick and was leading the top goalscorer charts on 9 goals for the tournament in just 3 games. Anthony Connolly and Paul Hurden also found the back of the net.

Warlords had begun well in Game 1 but fell away in their following fixture. They needed to put their last outing behind them as they met Idealhouseshare Allstars who must have been on a high after their previous game comeback against Rapid Bosco Navas. With both teams on one point it was a must win game for each. After the opening period it was looking rosier for the Warlords as Wayne Minney gave them the lead before Joey Romeu doubled it. In the second half it was Romeu again to put the Warlords out of sight and boost their league placing – they could still make the Cup.

Although unbeaten, Rapid Bosco Navas still had work to do and needed a result against Preston OAPs who had pride and aspirations of maintaining their 100% record to play for. Rapid Bosco Navas drew first blood through Daniel Gomez and at half time they were going into the Cup in 2nd place. They lost a half-time lead against Idealhouseshare Allstars in their previous game and did here again as Chris Pye's 10 th of the day put the teams level at 1-1. This left Rapid Bosco Navas vulnerable as Intermore FC or Warlords could potentially climb above them.

Cometh the hour, cometh the man though and that man was Xavier Llimona with his 3rd and most important strike of the tournament. His goal was a hugely valuable one in the context of the group. Preston OAPs had no time to hit back and the game finished 2-1. The result meant both teams would progress to the Cup.

The above result meant Intermore FC and Warlords could only jockey for position as both would play in the Plate regardless of the result between them. In theory, a 3rd placed finish would mean an easier Plate Quarter-Final but regardless of this no-one wants to lose on pitch plus pride and honour were at stake.

As it was, both teams proved they were evenly matched and the teams played out a 1-1 draw thanks to goals from John Crangle of Intermore FC and Daniel O'Regan of Warlords both scoring. The result meant Warlords finished in 3rd place with Intermore FC taking 4th position.
