Group B kicked off with our 2008 Barca Fives champions – Rapid Bosco Navas. They took on Intermore FC of Ireland. Rapid Bosco Navas, whilst remaining competitive since 2008 had been unable to go all the way and repeat this success. The Spanish were finding their Irish opposition tough opponents in their opening game. After the opening period the teams remained locked at 0-0.

Intermore FC made their debut in Krakow 12 months ago and finished second in their group before bowing out at the quarter-final stage to eventual runners-up, Pimp My Side. The Irish were unable to get off to a winning start in Barcelona as Juan ‘La Rata' Martinez and Daniel ‘Danilson' Gomez ensured our former winners began 2011 with three points.

Debutants Idealhouseshare Allstars met Preston OAPs who were making their first appearance since the 2007 Prague Trophy. Back in Prague they entered 3 teams under the names of England Lions, Brazil United and We Are Messi. The latter two squads reaching the Plate and Cup Semi-Finals respectively.

As in the opening game of Group B the teams were evenly matched and reached half-time level. The score was 1-1 thanks to goals from Kevin Stout and Chris Pye. The second half was a different story though as Preston OAPs left their opposition trailing as Paul Hurden (2) and Graham Dillon all found the net to get them off to a perfect start, 4-1.

It's tournament number 3 for Warlords Against Narrow Klunge (Eng) who have been born out of the Amsterdamage squad that made the Plate Semi-Finals in the 2009 Amsterdam Fives before crashing out in the cruellest of fashions, on penalties, to miss out on a debut final. One year later in the 2010 Prague Masters, as Masters of the Pooniverse, they reached the Plate Semi-Finals again when an injury depleted squad narrowly missed out to DHL Prague Red.

They played their first game against Rapid Bosco Navas who already had 3 points under their belt. For the third game in a row in Group B we had the two teams level at half-time. After a goalless first half we were to witness goals in the second period but still the teams could not be split. The game finished 1-1 thanks to the two number 9's – James Whitehead for the Warlords and Xavier ‘Gica' Llimona for Rapid.

Game 4 saw two teams looking to avenge opening game defeats. We were treated to the most entertaining first half thus far as goals flew in at each end. There were 5 in total and it was Intermore FC who lead narrowly at the break. They led 3-2 against Idealhouseshare Allstars thanks to goals from Gerard Ryan, Damien Maguire and John Crangle. Andy Cullen and Ben Phillips scored for the Idealhousehare Allstars to keep them in the hunt.

The Allstars needed to summon up their reserves to hit back in the 2nd half. The next goal in this game would be crucial and when it arrived it came from the boot of Anthony Magee to open up a two goal cushion and secure all 3 points for Intermore FC.

Game 5 saw Preston OAPs, fresh from opening game success, play the Warlords who had gained a good point against Rapid Bosco Navas. For Preston OAPs, there was a chance to open up a two point lead at the top of the group. They looked like doing just that through one man in particular – Chris Pye. Preston OAPs scored 5 in each half with Pye scoring 5 of them. Anthony Connolly was the other man on the scoresheet. Daniel O Regan aka Dantona was the scorer of the consolation goal for Warlords Against Narrow Klunge with the result leaving them in 4th place.
