In a crucial clash between LSVG1 and Elstead Reds at the beginning of Round 3, the two teams battled for points and position in the group standings. LSVG1, coming off a victory in their previous match, faced Elstead Reds, who were hoping to bounce back from a defeat.

The game kicked off with both LSVG1 and Elstead Reds eager to gain an advantage. Elstead Reds started brightly and quickly asserted themselves by taking the lead. Ed Hallam found the back of the net, putting Elstead Reds ahead 1-0 in the first half. The goal provided a much-needed boost to Elstead Reds' confidence as they aimed to regain their winning form.

In the second half, LSVG1 regrouped and intensified their attacking efforts. They sought to restore parity and get back into the game. The team displayed great determination and teamwork, eventually finding the equalizer through Berend Jensen, leveling the score at 1-1.

Both teams fought tooth and nail to find a winning goal in the remaining time. The match became highly competitive, with chances created at both ends of the pitch. However, resilient defending and solid goalkeeping prevented any further goals from being scored. The teams remained deadlocked until the final whistle, resulting in a hard-fought 1-1 draw.

The draw left LSVG1 and Elstead Reds with mixed emotions. LSVG1, riding the momentum of their previous victory, will have been slightly disappointed not to secure all three points but grateful to comeback in the second half. On the other hand, Elstead Reds, who came into the match off the back of a defeat, will likely view the draw as a positive result. But having been a goal up they would dearly have loved all 3 points. The teams remained in third and fourth position.

It was an exciting match between Ball Sports Pinks and W London in the third round of Group B at the 2023 Amsterdam Fives. Ball Sports Pinks were looking for their first point in the tournament, while W London felt unlucky to have only one point after a close 3-2 defeat and a 4-4 draw in their previous matches.

In this game, W London started strong and took a 2-0 lead in the first half. Malek Mansour scored for the second game in a row, while Darius Plummer continued his impressive record of scoring in every game. With the score 2-0 at halftime, W London seemed to be in control.

However, Ball Sports Pinks staged a comeback in the second half. Connor Willis scored the first goal for his team, reducing the deficit. Then, Tom Bennett stepped up and equalized, completing the comeback for Ball Sports Pinks.

The match ended in a 2-2 draw, which earned Ball Sports Pinks their first point in the tournament. For W London it was a second successive draw which was hampering their league position. They remained in 5 th despite only losing 1 game and that was by the odd goal.

Shab-Tilburg (Ned) and Les Collegues (Fra) started Round 3 in first and second position. They would have been delighted to see the previous two games finish as draws meaning the teams below them were failing to make significant ground in catching up with the league leaders. It meant that the winner of this match could open up a gap on the team in third place and do their Cup qualification hopes a lot of good in the process.

We had three goals to enjoy in the first half with Les Collegues looking to maintain their 100% record at the tournament. Steve Bouyer scored for the second consecutive match to put the French team 1-0 up. Walid Maruan was the main man in front of goal for Shab-Tilburg and he continued his fine run of form with an equalizer. That wasn't enough for Maruan and Shab-Tilburg as Maruan doubled the dose to make it 2-1 to the Dutch at half-time.

As things stood, Shab-Tilburg were about to climb above their opponents in the Group B table. Could Les Collegues find an equalizer and rescue a point or even go on and find a winner? The short answer to that is no. The Shab-Tilburg defence proved resilient and shut out their opponents. A goal-less second period meant Shab-Tilburg secured the 2-1 win and went to the top of Group B.
