Bull
Heads and FC Biermeisters
Sud both went into Game 6 with a 100% record
so this was predicted to be a power struggle for
Group C and would give us an indication of the
overall title contenders. In the end we did not
learn too much other than the fact that both teams
were evenly matched with strong defences. Neither
side could make a breakthrough as the teams both
earned a point in a 0-0 draw.
A
quick update of the league table to put Tom Tom
Go's three walkover points in the standings and
we were ready to go on to the pitch again.
Blazers
Army, fresh from a 5-1 victory, would take
on the unbeaten Bull Heads.
In a tight first half the youngsters were brought
back down to earth when Robbie Evans put the Bull
Heads 1-0 up before the break. They went from
strength to strength in the second period when
Evans added a second and Fernandes made it 3-0.
Andy Porter took a break from goalkeeping duties
to come outfield and rewarded his team-mates with
the fourth and final goal. Final score, 4-0.

FC
Biermeisters Sud with one win and a draw
against the Bull Heads went into their final game
as favourites when they took on Tom
Tom Go. The Dutch team were searching for
their first full win. The form book was turned
upside down when Lee Clark put Tom Tom Go the
lead. They went on to reinforce the lead and make
it 2-0 through Richy Cordiner. A fine win for
them but it would not be enough to jump them into
the Cup and they would have to settle for the
Plate. FC Biermeisters would finish in second
and must have been ruing the missed opportunity
to top the group which would arguably have given
them an easier Cup quarter-final draw.
They
would still make the Cup though as would Blazers
Army who qualified as one of the best 3 rd placed
teams. Bull Heads went through as Group C champions.
