At the start of Round 3, we were meant to have GBS Reds versus Frank Hirth but as we know GBS Reds had withdrawn for the tournament. The result was that Frank Hirth collected the easiest 3-0 win and 3 points they would ever receive.

Next up on the field was Team Extreme versus CIS Committee Juniors. Team Extreme currently sat joint top but CIS Committee Juniors were only 3 points behind them having just picked up their first win of the day.

CIS Committee Juniors were the second team of CIS Committee who had been hugely successful in our tournaments. They won the 2014 Budapest Fives and 2014 Bratislava Fives. They also had a runners-up appearance in Budapest in 2015 and earlier this year only failed to reach a 3rd successive Budapest Fives Cup Final when they lost on penalties in the Semi-Final. The “juniors” team featured a number of players who had played for the main CIS Committee squad so would be no pushovers.

Team Extreme made a mockery of that last statement though as they surged to a 2-0 lead in the first half. Phil Kemp was the man of the moment as he grabbed both goals to add to his double in the first game of the tournament.

CIS Committee Juniors hit back in the second half through Maxim Livotchkin to reduce the deficit to 2-1 but an equalizing goal proved elusive as Team Extreme had enough in the locker to see the game through and move on to a maximum 9 points.

Damjan Radeka had started their eurofootballfives.com careers in style as they sat joint top at the start of Round 3 with a maximum 6 points and had just swept aside Frank Hirth with a convincing 3-0 win. Their next opponents would be OKFC.

OKFC were the opposite side of the coin in terms of results as they were currently looking for their first goals and points of the day. OKFC had given as good as they got in the first half of games as they had trailed 1-0 in their opener and were 0-0 at half-time last time out. It would be another competitive first half showing with the two teams reaching half-time level at 0-0.

OKFC were in Prague for Henry Bird's stag weekend and the stamina OKFC showed in the bars and clubs of Prague last night may have affected their stamina on the football field at the Prague Tournament. They had conceded three in the second half of their previous games and history was to repeat itself against Damjan Radeka.

Dias Idrissov set the ball rolling for the Czechs before Islam Antayev doubled the lead. Veniamin Dmitriyev completed the scoring at 3-0 as Damjan Radeka joined Team Extreme at the top of the table on 9 points. It was the Czech team who lead the way courtesy of goal difference.
