The
next action on the field was in on Pitch B as
Frank Hirth took on Damjan Radeka.
Frank
Hirth began life in eurofootballfives.com competition
at the 2014 Berlin Fives and made a strong debut.
In Berlin, the Frank Hirth A team won Group
C with a 100% record and the B team finished
2nd in Group A (behind 2013 Mallorca Five winners
Grant Thornton from Paris). The two teams were
successful in their Cup Quarter-Finals setting
up a derby showdown in the Cup Semi-Finals.
The A team won it narrowly, 2-1, and progressed
to the Cup Final and just missed out on the
ultimate glory going down 4-3 to Hasanheide
Hotspur.
They
followed up Berlin with a trip to the 2015 Lisbon
Tournament. Frank Hirth B finished joint second
in their group but third on goal difference
so qualified for the Plate which they went on
to win. Frank Hirth A were joint 4 th in their
group but 5th on goal difference so qualified
for the Trophy….which they also went on to win.
They concentrate their strength into one team
for the 2016 Prague Tournament.
The
policy had started well with a 1-0 win against
CIS Committee Juniors in Round 1. They found
Damjan Radeka a much tougher proposition. Damjan
Radeka – newly merged with GBS Reds – were about
to play for the first time and they made an
impressive start.
Two
goals in the first half for the Czech team were
followed by three in the second half as Damjan
Radeka recorded a resounding victory. There
was two goals each for Veniamin Dmitriev and
Dias Idrissov plus a goal for Rehat Yessenzhanov.
It was an emphatic start for Damjan Radeka.
