Bathletico Madridlesborough came into this Group B encounter in excellent form, sitting second in the table after back-to-back victories and scoring goals at an impressive rate. Another win would take the English side level on points with league leaders Colonel Getafe, at least temporarily, and strengthen their push for a place in the Cup knockout stages. For AFC Blue Boys, the situation was considerably more desperate. Sitting six points off the knockout places with only two games remaining, the Polish side knew that anything less than victory would end their hopes of progression. They needed to win both remaining fixtures and hope results elsewhere went their way, making this a must-win encounter.

Bathletico continued their impressive attacking form in the first half, establishing a 3-1 lead by the interval. Ben Speak found the net to take his tournament tally to five goals, while Alex Ctori also reached five for the campaign. Lawrence Howard added another goal to his own tally, helping Bathletico build a healthy advantage against opponents who had their backs against the wall. Adrian Pastuszka got on the scoresheet for AFC Blue Boys, keeping the Polish side in the contest, but they still faced an uphill battle in the second half as Bathletico looked to protect and build on their lead to maintain their winning run.

The second half produced further goals, with Ctori scoring again to complete his brace and Alex Pastuszka also adding his second goal of the tournament for AFC Blue Boys. The final score of 4-2 confirmed Bathletico's third consecutive victory and continued their remarkable scoring run. They moved joint top of Group B on nine points, drawing level with Colonel Getafe and putting further pressure on the leaders. For AFC Blue Boys, the defeat was a cruel blow, as their hopes of reaching the knockout phase were now mathematically over. They still had one group fixture left to play, however, and would be looking to finish their campaign on a positive note after a difficult tournament in terms of results.

APB FC (Ire) found themselves in a familiar position heading into this Group B encounter, knowing that only six points from their final two fixtures would give them any hope of reaching the knockout stages. Unfortunately for the Irish side, their opponents were the formidable Colonel Getafe, who had won all three of their opening matches and were looking to make it four from four. The English side were setting the pace at the top of the table and another victory would further strengthen their position in the race for Cup qualification. It was a daunting challenge for APB FC, who needed to produce something special against the group leaders to keep their hopes alive.

The first half went very much with the form book as Colonel Getafe established a 2-0 lead. Cameron Saycell opened the scoring before Ben Watson added a second, giving the unbeaten leaders a healthy cushion at the interval. APB FC needed a response after the restart, and they showed some fight when Padraic Waldron found the net to reduce the deficit to 2-1. Suddenly, the Irish side had hope of rescuing something from the match, but Colonel Getafe had been in this position before and knew what was required to see the game out.

The final whistle confirmed a 2-1 victory for Colonel Getafe, who had once again turned a two-goal half-time advantage into a narrow win after conceding in the second half. It was the second time they had followed that pattern (also v Bathletico), underlining the resilience that has accompanied their undoubted quality throughout the group stage. Four wins from four is an outstanding record, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to find fault with a side performing so consistently at both ends of the pitch. Their 100% record remained intact, and they stretched their lead at the top of Group B to three points. For APB FC, the defeat confirmed their elimination with one game still to play, matching the fate of AFC Blue Boys. The Irish side would now have to settle for finishing their campaign as strongly as possible, while Colonel Getafe continued to look every inch genuine Cup contenders.

The final fixture of Round 4 in Group B brought together Sporting Armada and New Ham United, with both sides sitting on six points and knowing that victory was essential if they were to keep pace with the teams above them. With Colonel Getafe setting a formidable standard at the top of the table, neither team could afford to drop points at this stage of the competition. A draw would leave both sides struggling to catch the leading pack and would most likely mean settling for Plate qualification, so there was plenty riding on this encounter. With the stakes high, the two teams produced a closely contested first half that ended all square at 1-1.

Mihai Harizomenov was on target for New Ham United, scoring his second goal of the day, while Ryan Higgins continued his excellent form for Sporting Armada with his third of the tournament. With the teams level at the interval, the second half was set up for someone to become a hero for their team. Step forward Jack Rusbridge, he was the man who struck the winning goal to give his Armada side a crucial 2-1 advantage, leaving New Ham United needing another response as time began to run out. Armada showed the composure required to protect their lead, holding on to claim three valuable points in a match that could have a significant bearing on their destiny in the final group standings.

The victory lifted Sporting Armada to nine points, drawing them level with Bathletico Madridlesborough in second place and keeping their Cup ambitions firmly alive. The timing was particularly significant, as the two sides were due to meet in Round 5, setting up a potentially decisive showdown in the battle for qualification. For New Ham United, however, due to the fact the two teams above them would be playing each other next, the defeat confirmed that they would be playing Plate football in the afternoon. Having started the tournament with consecutive victories, they had been unable to maintain that momentum in the group. Sporting Armada, meanwhile, could look ahead with renewed confidence, knowing that their fate remained in their own hands as the final round approached.
