With JK Silvertown sitting second and F.R. Ady in fourth place before kick-off, this Group A encounter carried significant importance in the battle for Cup qualification. The Hungarian champions had made a surprisingly inconsistent start to their title defence, recording one win, one draw and one defeat. That loss against Dumpling CF had ended a remarkable run of 11 group matches unbeaten in eurofootballfives.com tournaments, and was only their second defeat in 14 matches overall. JK Silvertown, meanwhile, had won twice from their opening three fixtures, their only defeat coming against league leaders TEAM Polonia Limerick. With both sides looking to strengthen their position near the top of the table, an intriguing contest was in prospect.

JK Silvertown made the perfect start when Bobby Rusbridge found the net to put the English side 1-0 ahead. It was another milestone for the prolific forward, whose seventh goal of the day took him to the top of the tournament scoring charts. However, F.R. Ady responded in determined fashion, with Sebestyen Gyula David bringing the Hungarians level before Tamas Robert Levente put them 2-1 in front. The champions had turned the match around before half-time, leaving JK Silvertown needing a strong second-half response to prevent their opponents from overtaking them in the standings.

Instead, the second half belonged emphatically to the Hungarians. Szabo Csaba extended the advantage before Levente struck again to make it 4-1, with Kristof Varga adding a fifth to complete a commanding performance. Having trailed early on, F.R. Ady had produced a remarkable turnaround to secure a convincing 5-1 victory. The three points lifted them above JK Silvertown into second place in Group A, providing a timely reminder of the quality that made them champions in Barcelona last year. For JK Silvertown, the heavy defeat was a setback, while F.R. Ady had emphatically revived their campaign after a difficult run of results.

TEAM Polonia Limerick (Pol) came into this Group A encounter as the team to beat, having collected the maximum nine points from their opening three matches to sit proudly at the top of the table. With eight goals scored and just two conceded, they had made an impressive start to their campaign and looked well placed to push on towards the Cup knockout stages. Their opponents, Dumpling CF (Eng), had endured a very different opening, losing their first two games by an aggregate score of 12-1. However, they had breathed life into their campaign with a remarkable 3-1 victory over defending champions F.R. Ady, climbing to fifth place and reigniting their hopes of reaching the knockouts. Could they produce another upset against the league leaders?

As in both teams' previous fixtures, the first half ended goalless, with TEAM Polonia Limerick unable to find a way through a Dumpling defence that was growing in confidence with every passing minute. The breakthrough finally arrived after the interval, but it was Dumpling CF who struck first. Captain Daniel O'Mahony led by example, finding the net to give the English side a precious 1-0 advantage. Suddenly, the pressure was on the previously unstoppable league leaders, who now had to chase the game against opponents gaining belief with every attack. Dumpling CF seized their opportunity, and Will Coleman doubled the lead to make it 2-0, putting them within touching distance of another extraordinary result.

The final whistle confirmed a second sensational victory in succession for Dumpling CF, who had transformed their tournament in spectacular fashion. From bottom of the table after two heavy defeats, they had now beaten both the defending champions and the previously unbeaten league leaders in consecutive matches, moving up to joint third and firmly back into contention for knockout qualification. In our 20-year history, it is difficult to recall many more dramatic changes in fortunes over such a short period. For TEAM Polonia Limerick, this was a significant setback after their perfect start, but they remained top of Group A despite the defeat. The message from Dumpling CF was unmistakable: write them off at your peril!

Athletico Madridlesborough came into this Group A encounter in a surprisingly lowly fifth position after results elsewhere had reshaped the standings. It was a remarkable situation given the quality they had displayed so far, but it also underlined the strength in depth across this year's competition. The English debutants knew that victory could propel them as high as second place, leaving them just two points behind the league leaders. RAF Boulmer, meanwhile, were down in sixth after struggling to turn some competitive performances into points. With their hopes of reaching the knockout stages hanging by a thread, they needed to win their final two fixtures to have any chance of progressing.

Athletico made sure they took care of their own business, producing a strong first-half display to establish a 2-0 advantage. George Hayward continued his outstanding tournament by finding the net once again, while Ed Main also got on the scoresheet to give the debutants a comfortable cushion. RAF Boulmer needed a response after the interval, but Athletico remained in control and continued to look dangerous. Hayward then struck again to complete the scoring at 3-0, taking his tally to seven goals for the day and drawing level with JK Silvertown's Bobby Rusbridge at the top of the tournament scoring charts.

The 3-0 victory proved hugely significant for Athletico Madridlesborough, who soared up the Group A table and kept their Cup qualification ambitions firmly on track. Having started the day as newcomers, they had quickly established themselves as serious contenders, and this latest clean sheet further demonstrated their quality at both ends of the pitch. For RAF Boulmer, however, the result brought their campaign to a painful conclusion, with defeat confirming their elimination from the knockout stages. They had shown plenty of fight throughout the group phase, but ultimately found points difficult to come by in a fiercely competitive group.
