At the start of Round 3, we had Two Balls One Touch versus Vilag Valogatott. Both teams were looking for their first points of the today and at least 1 of these teams would break their duck when this fixture concluded.

After a competitive first half there was nothing to separate the two teams and like a number of games in Group A so far we reached the break at 0-0. Often the goals came in the second half today but as we reached the mid-point of the second half goals were still conspicuous by their absence.

There was then a big moment in the game as Two Balls One Touch had a man sent off for a dangerous tackle. Surely that would curtail Two Balls One Touch's ambitions of victory but could they hold on for a draw?

It was looking good for Two Balls One Touch as they looked to see out the final stages and claim a point but their hopes were dashed in the final moments when Rutger Van Der Burgl pounced with a late winner.

As the sands of time ran out there was to be no further score and Vilag Valogatott had bagged their first eurofootballfives.com win.

Next up we had FC Broxelona A versus Budapest Celtic Greens. At the start of Round 3 these teams were joint top but sitting in 2nd and 3rd in the table respectively courtesy of goal difference. A win here would be a big boost to Cup qualification.

Both teams came into the game unbeaten and with a 100% record this morning but that record for FC Broxelona A was under threat when Alex Cadet scored his first of the day to put Budapest Celtic Greens 1-0 up. That was to be the half-time score.

After the break FC Broxelona A cashed in on a goalkeeping error from Budapest Celtic Greens as Daniel Turnham's goal drew the English team level. They would not be level for too long though because Alex Cadet scored his second of the game and of the tournament to restore Budapest Celtic's lead.

The game then witnessed a fourth goal with the last kick of the game but alas for FC Broxelona A they would not be celebrating an equalizer as they slipped to defeat for the first time today. It would be Budapest Celtic Green celebrating as they kept their 100% run going and in particular Alex Cadet who completed his hat-trick.

Meglepetes began their Budapest Fives journey in 2013 and make their fourth consecutive appearance. They started their debut campaign on fire with 2 wins in their first 2 games. A draw stalled their progress before 2 defeats meant they narrowly missed out on the Cup draw. In the Plate competition they won their QF against Budapest Celtic Tigers (2-1), their SF against BBFC2 (3-0) and then claimed the Plate win 3-0 in the final over Bozeat All Stars.

In 2014 they started off with a defeat before recovering with 3 wins and 1 draw to finish on 10 points and in third place in their group. They qualified for the Plate and the defence of their title started well in the Quarter-Finals with a 5-2 win over LITS but went out on penalties in the Semi-Finals after a 3-3 draw with Budapest Celtic Panthers.

2015 saw them with 3 victories (4-2, 4-0 & 5-0) and 1 defeat (1-0 to Csabagyongye) in the group phase to finish in 2nd place and qualify for the Cup for the first time. Their form continued with a 4-1 win over 2014 Runners-Up Argentina before they met Csabagyongye again in the Semi-Finals. The game finished 1-1 but Meglepetes went out 2-1 on penalties.

Meglepetes were looking good to go one step further this year as they started with 2 wins out of 2 and a third would see them end Round 3 at the summit of Group A.

Wandsworth Athletic had lost both their games but in both cases it had been by the narrowest of margins – just the odd goal. Meglepetes were hardly the opponents they needed to kickstart their campaign. The first half went with the form book as Marton Patik opened up a 1-0 lead for the Hungarian team.

The goals then began to flow with Daniel Torok and Szombor Kater extending the lead to 3-0 and that's how it finished. Meglepetes retained top spot courtesy of goal difference.
