At
the 4th time of asking a Polish team finally won
the Krakow Trophy after 3 years of falling to
overseas opposition. Local team Hutnik proved
the winners after a day of competitive action.
The tournament was notable as the first indoor
eurofootballfives.com tournament due to the freakish
weather in Krakow and flooding of our normal pitches
just 24 hours before the tournament kicked off.
The
eurofootballfives.com team went to work and managed
to find an alternative venue at short notice and
stage the event. A great day was had by all and
we look forward to returning to our normal outdoor
venue barring any blizzards or tornadoes of course.
Even then, I'm sure we'll find a way round it!

to 4 teams from 4 different nations contesting
the Cup Semi-Finals and out of those 4 it was
Athletico Do Hollande who became the first Dutch

Following 3 succesive years without a home win,
Polish teams made it a
double victory in 2010 as Azmot claimed the 2010
Krakow Cup title to add to Hutnik's win in the
Krakow Trophy back in May.
FC
Biermeisters broke their eurofootballfives duck
when the FCB Helles squad won a sensational Plate
final to take the trophy and winners medals in
the Plate competition. They trailed 3-0 to Over
Crusaders before embarking on a sensational comeback
that saw them grab an injury time equaliser and
then a Golden Goal to break Over Crusaders hearts.

For
the first time in 8 tournaments in Prague there
was a Czech double as Deportivo claimed victory
in the main Cup competition with JNJ Global
Services taking glory in the Plate competition.
When you add Czech team, DHL Prague Blue's David
Asamoah to the list as tournament Top Goalscorer
then there is a domestic clean sweep of the
trophies.
To
leave it at that would be unfair on Arrows who
came so close to winning the main prize and
when they led 2-0 in the final match it looked
like an England vctory until Deportivo fought
back to 2-2 and claim the Cup group and the
coveted 2010 Prague Trophy.

The
2010 Valencia Fives saw the tournament more than
double in size following the event's debut in
2009. Bigger does not necessarily mean better
but in this case it most certainly does!
On
a glorious weekend in Valencia, 24 degrees, the
tournament was played out in sensational sunshine
as the travelling teams could forget about the
cold, dreary weather in the UK. On the pitch there
was success for Futbol City and Los Halcones in
the Cup and Plate competitions respectively.
Away
from the tournament there was plenty of beach
action and nightlife action to be had with many
a sore head on Sunday morning. We thank you all
for attending this amazing tournament and we look
forward to seeing you all back in action next
year.
