PFC had a superb record at this tournament over the years:

2017: Cup Winners

2018: Plate Runners-Up

2019: Cup Runners-Up

2022: Cup QF

2023: Cup Winners

2025: Cup Runners-Up

Today was no exception as they had picked up the maximum 6 points available. Bayern Bru faced another difficult challenge in Group B as it was them who now took on unbeaten PFC, with the English side still searching for their first points of the tournament.

PFC wasted little time asserting their dominance, with Rodrigo Massi opening the scoring before quickly adding a second to put the Brazilians firmly in control. Gerson Teixeira then took over, producing a clinical first-half hat-trick as Bayern Bru struggled to contain the relentless attacking movement and sharp finishing of their opponents. Massi completed his own hat-trick before Teixeira added a fourth, and Ruben Pereira rounded off a devastating opening period to send PFC into half-time with an overwhelming 8–0 advantage.

To Bayern Bru's credit, they continued competing after the interval and were rewarded when Tom Begg scored early in the second half to make it 8–1 and give the English side a moment to celebrate. Could this be the start of the mother of all comebacks? In short, no. PFC quickly resumed normal service. Cris Jorge added two goals in the second half, with Claudio Faustino also getting on the scoresheet, as PFC completed a comprehensive 11–1 victory. It was another hugely impressive attacking display from the Brazilians, who maintained their 100% record and moved to the top of Group B.

Barcesloana produced one of their strongest performances of the tournament to claim an important 2–1 victory over Abdi in Group B, keeping their knockout hopes alive in the process. The English teams in this group had shown defensive frailties with Barcesloana conceding five goals in each of their opening fixtures. Coming into the match three points behind Abdi, they knew that a positive result was essential if they were to remain firmly in contention for the Plate qualification places.

The game was much tighter than many of the earlier high-scoring Group B contests, with both teams showing greater discipline and caution in possession. Barcesloana struck first through Jai Dasgupta, whose goal rewarded a confident opening spell and gave the English side an early advantage. Abdi responded well, though, and Miguel Silva brought the Portuguese team level to ensure the sides went into half-time locked at 1–1. The second half remained closely contested, with chances limited as both teams recognised the significance of the result. Barcesloana, however, looked more composed defensively than in previous matches and continued to threaten going forward through quick transitions and direct attacking play. Their improved organisation gave them a platform to stay competitive throughout the match. Their display got its reward. The decisive moment arrived when Jai Dasgupta struck for a second time, proving to be the hero for Barcesloana as his goal secured a valuable 2–1 victory. It was a deserved and timely win for the English side, giving them renewed hope of progressing to the knockout stages, while Abdi were left frustrated after missing the chance to strengthen their own position in the table.

Zona M and PFC met in a high-stakes top-of-the-table clash in Group B, with both sides arriving with perfect records and the possibility of securing Cup qualification already within reach. PFC knew that a victory would guarantee them top spot in the group, while a draw would be enough for both teams to progress, setting up a finely balanced contest between two of the standout sides in the competition so far.

PFC made a strong start and looked to be taking full control of the group as they raced into a 2–0 lead. Gerson Teixeira opened the scoring before Rodrigo Massi added a second, continuing PFC's impressive attacking form and putting Zona M under real pressure early on. However, the Portuguese side responded before half-time through Fabio Arcanjo, whose goal reduced the deficit to 2–1 and kept his team firmly in the contest.

The second half saw a dramatic shift in momentum as Zona M produced a spirited and composed response. Tigrao brought the game level at 2–2, reigniting belief within the Portuguese ranks and setting up a tense final period as both teams pushed for control of the match and top position in the group. In a thrilling conclusion, Fabio Arcanjo struck again to complete a remarkable turnaround and secure a 3–2 victory for Zona M. It was a statement result built on resilience and attacking quality, handing PFC their first defeat of the tournament. Zona M moved joint top but still had a game in hand. PFC had completed their group games so could not add to their tally but they had done more than enough to qualify for the Cup.

Bayern Bru and Barcesloana met in an all-English Group B as the contest effectively became a knockout decider for both sides. Barcesloana needed at least a draw to confirm their place in the Plate competition, while Bayern Bru required a win - and a significant swing in goal difference - to avoid elimination after a difficult group stage campaign. With Barcesloana arriving off the back of a morale-boosting win over Abdi, momentum appeared to be on their side.

Barcesloana started strongly and quickly asserted control of the match, continuing the improved form they had shown in their previous outing. Rron Sylejmani opened the scoring to give Barcesloana an early advantage, easing the pressure and putting Bayern Bru on the back foot. Their attacking intent remained consistent, and they built on that strong start with further goals from Adam Wilson and Giovanni Boffa to move into a commanding position before half-time.

By the interval, Barcesloana were firmly in control at 3–0, with Bayern Bru struggling to get a foothold in the game. The momentum of the match had clearly swung in favour of the side who had begun to find rhythm at the right time in the group stage, while Bayern Bru faced an increasingly difficult task to salvage any hope of progression. In the second half, Barcesloana continued to manage the game professionally and added a fourth goal through Tom Hicks to complete a 4–0 victory. The result secured a second consecutive win for Barcesloana, sealing their place in the Plate competition with growing confidence and momentum to take into the knockout phase. Bayern Bru's tournament came to an end after a difficult campaign in Group B. It must be said they were down to the bare bones in terms of playing numbers so a few extra legs may well have helped them in their quest. Still, they put in a grand effort in warm conditions and against quality opposition.

Zona M completed a dominant Group B campaign with a 6–2 victory over Abdi, sealing top spot and finishing with a 100% record after another impressive attacking display. Going into the final group fixture, Zona M needed just a point to confirm first place, while Abdi arrived in fourth place after back-to-back defeats meaning they would be destined to go into the Plate competition.

The match began in unusual fashion as Zona M were gifted the opening goal through an own goal from Miguel Silva, giving the Portuguese side an early advantage. Abdi responded quickly and showed good character to level the match through Flavio Oliveira, but Zona M regained control before the break when Claudio Sanches restored their lead to make it 2–1 at half-time. After the interval, Zona M stepped up their intensity and began to assert complete dominance over the contest. David Freire extended the lead to 3–1 before Tigrao added a fourth and Fabio made it 5–1, as Abdi struggled to cope with the pace and movement of their opponents in the final third.

Although Rui Silva briefly pulled a goal back for Abdi to make it 5–2, Zona M had the final word as David Freire struck again to complete a comprehensive 6–2 win. The result confirmed Zona M as Group B winners with a perfect record, while Abdi's efforts across the group stage were enough to secure a place in the Plate competition despite ending the group on a difficult note.
