Bayern
Bru and Abdi opened Group B in the 2026 Lisbon
Fives with both sides making their tournament
debuts, meaning there was little prior form to
gauge either team's level heading into the fixture.
It was Abdi who made the stronger early impression,
quickly settling into their passing rhythm and
showing greater cohesion in the opening exchanges
as they began to take control of the match.
The
Portuguese side's superiority soon translated
into goals, with Flavio Oliveira opening the scoring
before Bruno Pires doubled the advantage to put
Abdi 2–0 ahead. Osvaldo Silva then added a third
as Bayern Bru struggled to contain the movement
and sharpness of their opponents, and Miguel Silva
made it 4–0 as Abdi's attacking play continued
to cut through the English side's defensive shape.
Bayern
Bru did manage to respond through Josh Fox, who
pulled a goal back to make it 4–1 and briefly
offered his side a foothold in the contest. However,
Abdi quickly reasserted control before half-time,
with Hugo Marques restoring the four-goal lead
at 5–1 to underline their dominance in a one-sided
opening period. After the break, Bayern Bru showed
improved resilience and were rewarded with a second
goal from Refaya Davies, reducing the deficit
to 5–2. Despite that consolation, Abdi had a substantial
cushion and saw out the remainder of the match
to secure a deserved 5–2 victory, making a strong
statement on their Group B debut.

PFC
were 2x title winners here in Lisbon and 2025
saw them embark on a journey in search of a
third Lisbon title that they agonisingly missed
out on. The defending 2023 champions began well
with a 3-0 win over RAF 2 and followed this
up with a 5-1 win over Brixton Gas. It was another
big win next as they defeated AC Motxto International,
5-0. With the group already secured they met
Sloane FC looking to finish the group phase
with a 100% record. The English team pulled
off a sensational 2-1 win but it mattered not
to PFC. In the Cup Quarter-Finals they were
back to winning ways 4-0 against Foot 130 A
of France. They made it a French double beating
their B team 5-1 in the Semi-Final. They met
Bonde Sem Freio in the Cup Final in what was
an epic contest – a pure joy for everyone watching
on. The match finished 1-1 but penalties were
not kind to PFC this time as they lost the shootout
3-2.
Today
PFC kicked off against Barcesloana with some
of the players in the line-up having featured
in the Sloane FC squad last year so they knew
what a tough game this would be but, also, knew
how to defeat this strong opponent.
PFC
gradually took control of the first half through
patient build-up play and clinical finishing,
with Ruben Pereira opening the scoring to give
the former champions a deserved advantage. Tiago
Oliveira then doubled the lead before the break,
as PFC's attacking movement began to stretch
the Barcesloana defence and create increasing
gaps in the final third. After the interval,
PFC stepped up the intensity and showed their
quality, with Ruben Pereira striking again to
extend the lead and firmly take control of the
match. The victory was sealed in emphatic fashion
as Pereira completed his hat-trick and Gerson
Teixeira added a fifth to round off a commanding
5–0 win. It was a statement performance from
PFC, who underlined their status as serious
contenders once again, while Barcesloana were
left to regroup after what was a hugely difficult
opening tie.

Zona
M made a strong impression on their eurofootballfives.com
debut with a dominant attacking display against
Bayern Bru, who were playing their second match
after an opening defeat. The match began in competitive
fashion, with both sides looking to settle quickly,
but it was Zona M who struck first as Fabio Arcanjo
opened the scoring to give the newcomers an early
advantage.
Bayern
Bru responded well and briefly turned the game
on its head through a quick double from Josh Fox,
putting the English side 2–1 ahead and momentarily
shifting momentum in their favour. However, Zona
M quickly regained control of the contest, with
Tigrao restoring parity at 2–2 before Pimo took
centre stage, scoring twice to swing the game
firmly back in favour of the debutants. Fabio
Arcanjo then added his second to make it 5–2 at
half-time, giving Zona M a commanding lead after
a highly eventful opening period.
The
second half saw Zona M take complete control of
proceedings as Bayern Bru struggled to contain
their attacking movement and intensity. Claudio
Sanches extended the lead before Pimo completed
his hat-trick and continued his outstanding performance
with a fourth goal, underlining his influence
on the match as the scoreline began to widen significantly.
David Freire added the final goal to complete
a comprehensive 9–2 victory, rounding off a dominant
display from Zona M. After a competitive opening
spell, they produced a relentless attacking performance
to overwhelm Bayern Bru, who will now be looking
to regroup quickly and improve their fortunes
in the remaining group fixtures.

Abdi
and PFC entered their second Group B fixtures
both carrying momentum after convincing opening
victories, making this one of the standout early
contests in the group. With both teams looking
to establish themselves at the top of the table,
the game had the feel of an early Cup qualification
decider, but it was PFC who immediately imposed
themselves with an explosive start.
The
Brazilian side flew out of the traps and quickly
put Abdi under sustained pressure through sharp
movement and clinical finishing. Ruben Pereira
opened the scoring before Gerson Teixeira struck
twice to give PFC a commanding 3–0 advantage by
half-time. Abdi struggled to cope with the pace
and intensity of the attacking play, while PFC
looked increasingly dangerous every time they
moved forward. To their credit, Abdi responded
positively after the interval and reduced the
deficit through Hugo Marques, who scored for the
second consecutive game to make it 3–1 and briefly
raise hopes of a comeback. The Portuguese side
showed greater urgency and attacking intent in
the early stages of the second half, trying to
force their way back into the contest.
Any
momentum Abdi had built was quickly halted, however,
when Tiago Oliveira scored PFC's fourth goal to
restore their three-goal cushion and effectively
seal the result. From there, PFC controlled proceedings
professionally to secure an impressive 4–1 victory,
maintaining their perfect start and strengthening
their position at the top of Group B as they sought
to regain their title.

Barcesloana
and Zona M met next in Group B with both sides
looking to build on very different opening results.
Barcesloana were aiming to recover from a 5-0
defeat to PFC and knew a win could move them into
the Plate qualification places, while Zona M arrived
full of confidence after an impressive 9–2 victory
over Bayern Bru and with the opportunity to join
PFC at the top of the table.
Zona
M continued their strong attacking form from the
outset and took the lead through Tigrao, whose
goal rewarded another confident start from the
Portuguese side. They extended their advantage
through David Freire to make it 2–0, threatening
to pull away once again with their sharp movement
and direct attacking play. However, Barcesloana
responded well before the break, with Joe Chamberlain
pulling a goal back to reduce the deficit to 2–1
and keep the contest alive at half-time.
The
second half saw Zona M regain control as their
attacking quality once again proved decisive.
Pimo, who had already scored four times in the
opening game, continued his outstanding form by
adding two more goals to stretch the lead to 4–1
and effectively put the result beyond doubt. His
movement and finishing caused constant problems
for the Barcesloana defence throughout the second
period. Claudio Sanches then added the final goal
to complete an emphatic 5–1 victory for Zona M,
maintaining their perfect start to the tournament
and moving them level at the top of Group B. For
Barcesloana, there were moments of encouragement
in the first half, but they were ultimately unable
to contain another powerful attacking display
from one of the form teams in the competition.
