Saturday 28 th April, Barcelona – where were you for the first eurofootballfives.com Plate Final of the season as Barley FC, the visitors, took on Futbol 7, the home team.

Both teams had stormed into the Final on the back of a fine run of form – Barley FC had won 3 on the bounce and Futbol 7 had two convincing wins of 7-0 and 4-1 to reach this stage. Something would have to give as only one team could pick up the Winners medals.

At half-time it was advantage to the home team as Alber Trillo Gonzalez bagged his 7 th of the day for Futbol 7 and would it be lucky 7? It certainly looked that way when David Campos Vidal made it 2-0 to the Spanish team with his fourth of the competition. There was no way back for the visitors and when the final whistle blew it was Futbol 7 who celebrated.

Both teams had played their part in a great final which was watched by a good crowd on Pitch D. Our congratulations go to Barley FC for a fine tournament as they collected their runners-up medals – they showed us they can certainly compete on the European stage.
