Futbol 7 were back in action and having made a dreadful start against Saipan FC would now be full of confidence following a 2-1 win versus Kazbar FC. Stagatasaray had met the two teams at the top of the table in an unbelievably tough start to the tournament but all was not lost if they could turn around their form starting here.

It was Futbol 7 though who took the early initiative thanks to Alber Trillo Gonzalez. It was a lead that gave them something to build on and with the pressure off they made it 2-0 before the break when Mark Maycas struck.

It was now or never for Stagatasaray who opened their account for the day via Sion Woodward but, alas, it was to prove a mere consolation as David Campos Vidal scored Futbol 7's third which clinched victory, 3-1. Futbol 7 joined Saipan FC and Budapest Celtic Pumas on 6 points at the top. Stagatasaray remained in 5th place.

Talking of Saipan FC and Budapest Celtic Pumas – they came face to face in the next game in what was to be a mouthwatering contest. Both teams had a 100% record, both teams had two wins, both had 6 points, both had scored 9 goals and both were yet to concede. This could easily be viewed as the Group B title decider.

As we so often say the first goal proves vital and that is even more important in these table-topping clashes. If you were a betting man you would probably have had your money on 8-goal Luiz Naufel to be the first goalscorer in this game – you'd have cashed in! He became the first man to beat Saipan FC goalkeeper Richard Magnier.

Saipan FC now had to chase the game and would inevitably leave gaps at the back. The Pumas had the perfect man to capitalize on such gaps and Naufel's hot goalscoring run continued. He went on to complete a hat-trick and actually scored four taking his tally to 12 goals in 3 games. Tobias Gustaffson also got on the scoresheet in a 5-0 victory. With a result like this the Pumas had to be considered one of the tournament favourites.

Saipan FC would need to regroup for their final group game as Cup qualification was still very much in their reach.

Kazbar FC versus Stagatasaray was going to be a crucial game in Group B. Lose it and you would be playing your afternoon football in the Wooden Spoon competition. Take victory and you would be virtually assured the Plate whereas a draw would probably assist Kazbar FC more due to a better goal difference. For Kazbar FC there was still an outside shot of making the Cup but they couldn't think about that – just focus on this game.

Playing on the show-pitch of Pitch D it was Kazbar FC who struck the opening blow courtesy of Andy Warin. The game remained close and it was the second half before the destination of the points was clear when Warin made it 2-0. It was always going to be a tough ask to comeback from that and Kazbar saw out the game to collect all 3 points.

Game 9 was a crucial fixture in Group B as Futbol 7 met Budapest Celtic Pumas. The latter had a chance to wrap up the title with fourth successive win and who would bet against them on their run of form! Futbol 7 were on a nice little run themselves having won two games in a row to put them in with a chance of Cup qualification. Their task was to win here and see if Saipan FC could match them in the last game.

The game remained level for long periods, a result that suited the Pumas more than Futbol 7. At half-time the teams were level at 0-0. The longer the game went on the more you felt this would be how it finished but…

…Cometh the hour, cometh the man though and it can be no surprise that man was Luiz Naufel with his 13 th and most important strike of the tournament. His goal was a hugely valuable one deciding the game, ensuring Budapest Celtic Pumas win the group with a 100% record, scoring 15 goals and with goalkeeper Andre Abibe still to concede a goal.

Futbol 7 would now have to see what Saipan FC could do in the final game to see if they would play in the Cup or Plate.

The above result meant that Saipan FC would need just a point to secure a place in the Cup. Due to superior goal difference and head-to-head record against Futbol 7 they could even afford defeat by a few goals. This was not a 2-horse race though as Kazbar FC were still very much in the picture – a win would put them level on 6 points with Saipan FC and Futbol 7. They would need to win by 4 goals though to jump from 4th to 2 nd on goal difference.

Kazbar FC would need goals and the goals were not totally forthcoming. Both teams were going for the win but goalkeepers Mark Willis (Kazbar FC) and Richard Magnier (Saipan FC) were on top and we went into the break 0-0. The longer the game remained goal-less the more this suited Saipan FC. Keep it tight and they were in the Cup. In the end the sands of time ran out and the referee's whistle drew a conclusion on proceedings at 0-0 with the points shared.

Saipan FC were second in Group B and would play in the Cup, Kazbar FC would finish 4th and compete in the Plate.
