Deportivo
Dooradoyle kicked off Group D against Mandem United.
Deportivo Dooradoyle (Ire) made their debut at
the 2011 Amsterdam Fives where they reached the
Plate Quarter-Finals with success over Goals Aloud,
in the Semi-Finals they were victorious 3-1 over
CEPL of Holland before a narrow defeat in the
final to Rigford Seahawks (also 2009 Krakow Trophy
Cup winners and 2009 Prague Trophy Plate winners).
They certainly improved as the day went on.
Mandem
United were making their eurofootballfives.com
debut so, although we'd not seen them in action
personally, were expected to be strong as they
qualified for the 2012 Algarve Open courtesy of
winning the Leisure Leagues national tournament
in 2011.
Deportivo
Dooradoyle held their own in the first period
and went into the break level at 0-0. In the second
half Mandem United flexed their muscle and took
the lead through Trevor Dennison. Mandem United
had a Portuguese passport holder in their ranks
and Andre Rodrigues Da Costa scored on ‘home soil'
to make it 2-0 and wrap up all the points for
his team. Final score, 2-0.
